  1. We’re fortunate it’s just a name/marketing gimmick for the time being. For English Premiere League clubs, you need to have a “club membership” just to be eligible to buy single game tickets. It costs 99 quid/year for the right to buy tickets. Example: https://www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/tickets/myforestmemberships
  2. Actually, on the television feed, it sounded like the microphones were cutting out during Oh Canada. The girls sounded great, but it did appear that the product is indeed defective.
  3. Re: Stewarts I’m a WNY transplant also in the Capital Region of NY and I can’t make sense of the veneration for Stewart’s. It’s a gas station. Outside of their own ice cream, there’s nothing special about a Stewart’s. You can’t even get a sandwich there that isn’t a day old and wrapped in plastic. Mr. Yuck. Two to three times a year. But I’m only a 4 hour drive.
  4. Thanks for the offer Tom, but I bought a few single game tickets through Ticketmaster instead of the weekend pack. Sabres ticket office not answering my requests saved me a lot of money.
  5. This is true! I bought Devils/Sabres tickets last season and the Devils are constantly emailing me. Now if I could just get Buffalo to email me back…
  6. I’ll add this to the conversation: I filled out the interest form from the Sabres ticket office on three occasions to purchase a weekend pack before the season started and never heard back. In addition to the product on the ice not being that hot, the sales team is too busy doing other things to call back or email customers who are trying to buy tickets. Not going to fill a lot of seats that way.
  7. If you look further into Cowley you’ll see that he had his music in A LOT of movies. He was a large contributor to the soundtrack for gay pornography in the early 80’s.
  8. Re: The Baseball Hall of Fame I live nearby and we have a membership. I go several times a year with my wife and kids and I see something new every time. Seriously love that place. My favorite time to go is on a late afternoon in winter. You can sit quietly in the plaque gallery while the sun sets. It’s peaceful. You usually have the whole space to yourself. I highly recommend it. Oh, and I’m a Detroit Tigers fan. Like most of you guys, I’m a western New Yorker without a hometown team to root for. Picked up the Tigers when I was about 8 years old. Been rooting for them from a distance for about 35 years now.
  9. I’d hate to see anyone go, but at the end of the day you have got to understand that this is a business.
  10. Thanks for the welcome back. I have always been more of a lurker than a poster.
