Call me Pollyanna. :) Vanek is playing hurt and Stafford is invisible as he has been all year. I don't believe they quit but had a horrible game against a team trying to clinch a spot. The Sabres could learn from that effort. It didn't appear that to me that Stafford, Gerbe and Ennis can cut it. They are pushed off the puck with with ease. I can see Ennis blossoming into a star in an organization that can protect the little puck machine. I think he would kick ass as a Bruin. My hope is....as professionals....you always strive to win and be the best that you can be. I think these guys are doing it. They just don't have the right mix going.

I just finished watching the DVR of the game and I was happy with the physical play and the hustle and the WILL to win it. Happy to see them not give up and get down on themselves after the sens second goal. As for tanking for a draft pick? I wouldn't want any player on my team that doesn't try to win every game. This is what they do and they need to give 100% all the time.
