With Bills looking Meh because Shakir is out and didnt go out and get a good Veteran #1 receiver I was hoping Sabres would step into the void... looks like Ill need to detach a bit this year... you never know but my expectations were just lowered considerably this past week...

Came out slow, D zone even the third was pathetic to meh... clearing zone left a lot to be desired... way to fancy for a hard forechecking team... they played like it was an exhibition game of shinny in the first... not the effort I was hoping for til the third...

I still play once a week in Brewster NY and drop during the winter in Katonah... I too am too old and slow to deal with BS.... but both are friendly... good skates.

My special needs son tripped going into summer stepping of the grass busted a tooth, buckle fx of rt radius, poss growth plate fx of right distal fibula... kid is tough but hates wearing a brace... next 6 weeks is gonna suck.

I get the trepidation and dont want to lose Benson, Quinn or Peterka but despite his on ice appearance at times... kid is dog... I know his Dad who played D1 hockey for UNH, tough hockey player and coached Zegras until Prep school... his younger brother is a D1 wrestler. All reports from my son's friends who went to school with him til going to prep school is he is a great guy, tenacious.. amazing skill and good teammate...

Agree all things equal... smarts, grit, skill, speed, edge work then size matters... height isnt be all end all... thickness is important though especially in legs...

Im not sure unless you can back good value, sometimes guys grow out of the injury bug... at this point given the alternatives imo bubble wrap him first half of the season.
