  1. Dr. Drane lays 3-5 they kicked you out for the bed and you end up with Vancomycin drip. Not only do you have the abcess, but now you have a drain which is another infection access point, and are already friggin septic. Good luck. Don't be afraid to go back in if things aren't better or worse. If you start getting goofy, make a call.
  2. Correct. Seriously. You go back to the election where Obama is mocking Romney because he had serious concerns about Russia and their intentions. Obama laughs and belittles him saying we aren't in a cold war...the Soviet Union is no longer. Well...here we are less than 2 years later. Who is in control in the Ukraine? Ukrainian govt? Russia? Locals? Anarchy? It depends on the circumstances and who you listen to. Then you get a story like this coming out....if nobody has legit authority, anything is possible. It's easy to mock when everything seems perfect...but as you see, once one domino falls, it can all go to crap in a hurry. Nothing like painting a big ol' Red X on a certain group to make it easy.....
  3. Hey....who here still thinks the SAFE Act is a good idea???...................
  4. That's what was being bandied about 12-18 months ago.....he was the lock for #1 this year.
  5. Just give them a ballpark... 1998-2000 An apartment next to Lincoln Elementary...... 2001-2004 Across the street from Chuck E. Cheese 2005-2006 St. Abigail's Rectory 2007-2009 State College of PA campus housing 2010-2014 A van
  6. I thought he looked good. It seemed the best chances in the tourney all came from bulling to the front of the net, or getting traffic in front and shooting from the point. The pure skill guys just looked like they were playing paddycake on a Sabres power play most of the time.
  7. Reinhart is about to.....case in point....
  8. You are taking it out of context. The point was comparing the two of them and why someone would want Kassian over Hodgson. Hodgson is a commodity in hockey. Kassian may well end up there as well, but he checks all the boxes....including stupidity unfortunately. The 2 games I saw, I like Kunitz. So be it.
  9. Alex Daigle was a once in a generation talent..... Pat Falloon was can't miss. Jason Bonsignore was all that....heck....he probably posts here.... You are drafting boys in many cases..... YEAH!
  10. The best guys on the ice were Perry, Nash, Kunitz. The big ice is built for big forwards. Heck, Girgensons took it to the net strong a dozen or so times.
  11. Well considering the Sabres finished one of the worst seasons in modern NHL history and are going to take the #12 guy on that list as their reward most likely....it just shows you how idiotic the idea of tanking is. Like PA and his movie Nebraska.....we just drove 2,000 miles for a $5 hat......
  12. There's only so much room for 3rd line NHL wingers.....
  13. When you can get Reinhart, the Bratwurst Strangler or whatever his name is, or Dal Colle who looks like he could play on the team today....you take it. Not only is it a crapshoot, but waiting another year on a crapshoot while you have a bona fide able bodied player in the system today. I would give them Foligno and Minny's 2nd for them not to defer, or St. louis' 1st if we have it. All this BS talk about tanking for elite players at the top of the draft...you actually have leverage to get 2 of them....and people want to play Quick Draw instead. Nothing stopping the Isles from playing in free agency as well. They get to the playoffs, #16-22......win a round...#23-30. There is a 4x better chance this happens than them picking #1.
  14. The Sabres had 2 starters for 95% of his tenure. One was the best in the world before Corsi came here. The only thing I can judge him on is his supposed Corsi Number to gauge workload, yet even you admit Lindy would run Miller into the ground. I guess you could give him some credit for Miller's development, but he's pretty much just had a cushy job. Drew Stafford was also signed to that extension by Darcy with Corsi rating given as one of his reasons.
  15. Great....as if it wasn't bad enough I think of Larry David when I get a hair in my mouth, now I'm going to be telling myself, "That's a strong Inkman going on"......
  16. Again...the average team has a 50% chance of making the playoffs. I have conservatively discounted the Isles chances to 20%. At 20%, their chance of getting the #1 pick is 5%. I'd rather have 100% chance at Bennett and Dal Colle today, than a 5% chance at McDavid tomorrow. Like I said...go look at the draft projections a year ago. Also, go look at the prediction thread and see where the majority expected the Sabres to finish this year and what they actually did. I can find plenty of more enticing 20-1 shots than making the fans suffer through multiple seasons and paying an average of $5,000 for a pair of season tickets. I'm starting to think that analytics isn't the problem.....the city is just bad at basic math.....
  17. Exactly. NY was a popular pick to make the playoffs this year. They even took a shot at Vanek. You can't assume they will even have a lottery pick next year. Even if you discount their chances of making the playoffs to 20%.....and they finish dead last, you only get a 20% chance of that pick landing you McDavid. Overall with a 20% chance of making the playoffs, the odds of NY's pick ending up #1 is 5%. That's why this whole tanking plan in the first place was idiotic. Snow is going to use the pick. The fans hate him and he needs to show something. That is why I say try to get the pick this year from them this year. If snow uses the pick, then the Isles stink and they don't have a 1st next year...Snow is probably a goner. If you can give the Isles something of value to give up this year...it makes sense for Snow. If it is players, the Isles immediately improve. If it is St. Louis' 1st, then the Isles have a 1st this year and next year. I said from day 1 they use the pick if it is in the top 10 let alone 5. I'd much rather have Bennett and Dal Cole seasoning in juniors this year, then next year you call up the whole lot of them...AND...you still have your own #1 which is much more likely to land McDavid than a crapshoot on the Isles.
  18. If you get St. Louis' 1st rounder....offer it to NY to give up the #5 and keep their pick next year. Screw this lottery stuff. At this time last year everyone was saying Reinhart was the can't miss #1...now he's being talked about 4 or 5 from some. Even if NY and Buf finish 29, 30....there is still less than a 50% chance you get McDavid. I would rather get 2, top 5 forwards this year...let them simmer in juniors a year....then you call the whole gang up in '15-'16 and make a splash in free agency during the summer. If you get one of the top 2 with your pick next year, fine. That shouldn't be the goal.
  19. I think that's what he meant....they have to want to come here. Sounds like they will aim for 2 top 6 guys but realistic about getting a 3rd or 4th line guy. Basically, try to sign Callahan, and settle for Ott.
  20. No problem. I think Murray has 7 cups of coffee and a 5 hour energy before these pressers.
  21. Foligno shoulder surgery Tallinder has the ankle Myers has broken ribs
  22. "We've had our PP slapped here once so I don't want to get fined." Please tell me I heard that wrong???
  23. Murray just called Darcy a weasel in not so many words.....haha He is so honest...even about Lieno...joke made in a question and Murray plays along assuming a buyout. Hodgson....to get him in the top 6 right now he has to play wing. If we get a bunch of power forwards to surround him, maybe he goes back to center. On the Darcy bit...."I don't believe in a 5 year rebuild...no way. Any GM that proposes that is just setting himself up long term if he can get the owner to buy into it."
