    He said it in response to a vague question at the Lafontaine scrambled CYA press conference. There was no direct question, it was the 1st thing on his mind, and given the circumstances, those of us with microscopic brains could understand what he was doing.

    Pegula called them the Bisons when he bought them. That should say it all. Why can't we get an indoor soccer team back here? How much could that possibly cost? You can convert a rink in Harbor Center for practice just as easily. It might actually be a good business move.

    It's not about Stafford and Myers....this team blows, has zero playoff experience, and a guy like Thornton who was able to take a regular shift on a team that won a Cup and went to 2 in 3 years, can be had for cheap and provide some winning advice. Gaustad was supposed to be Girgensons and Roy/Connolly/Vanek/Pominville were ready to take the next step and leadership roles. How did that turn out? In all honesty, if he has options from others which he should, he'd probably laugh at Buffalo unless they ponied up an extra 500K a year.

    Amen. I like the guy. The fact he couldn't even jive with Nolan is a red flag though. He was the only whipping boy that didn't improve.

    I guarantee you I can get you an interview with Ted Black. Teddy loves me. He's sort of like the chick on the back of the motorcycle. He knows it's dangerous and should probably stay away.....but he wraps his arms around my waist and leans his head on my shoulder......real poetic stuff. I think I'm saving up my favor though.....

    Like I said...all is fair in Booze, Smokes, and 'tang I was in Jamaica for a week with friends that were from there, and their Anchor/Duff's local debate led us to a few roadside stands where they would pop the chicken right in front of you. It was bittersweet. You cringe at the "CAW-CAAAAAA!"......then 30 minutes later you have the best meal in months. Tongue is the most underrated meat around. There used to be a place that would ship pickled lamb tongue, but they sold out and are no longer. You have to go to PA Dutch country now. We had a pig roast last fall and I literally tried every part of it minus the tongue and bits. Someone made a chimichurri for tacos and it was pure awesome. Sounds like you had the best father's day ever.

    I did find ironic the hubbub about Landon Donovan not being on the team.....and him being the halftime analyst for the game as the US was down to 1/2 a striker. If I were an ESPN producer, I would have cut to him eating a bag of Lays, smoking a cigarette, and talking on the cell phone, "No...nothing going on tonight, sure I'll go bowling...."

    Throw out Lieno and he blows away the other 3 the past 3 years..... He's not a goon. He's a guy who played more playoff games the past 4 years THAN THE ENTIRE SABRES ROSTER!!!!!

    You mean the one currently closed for swimming because of E-Coli? :) X....the combine isn't bad. It will add some $$$ for the nearby economy. If you love the process, those 150 fans may come down and check out the buzz. But ask a kid who took a 4 week bus trip to visit 15 cities with the Jewish Youth Center at 17...."I saw Niagara Falls, we ate chicken wings.....how do you live in that sh!thole?" By the way...that was in June.....
