Everybody is right. If traditionally you have a 1/14/50/15/20 breakdown as far as filthy rich/upper+upper-middle/traditional middle/low-middle/poor....the past 7 years has seen a squeeze to 2/8/30/30/30. You have numerical illusion of recovery in some cases because the numbers in the middle are almost the same, they are just sliding down a greased pole....and the bottom tier which has grown is being subsidized by the most benefits ever. That leaves the "core" of the economy getting the crap kicked out of them. How this country didn't have a full blown revolution under Bush when he installed Paulson as czar....I have no idea. The honest people out there who do everything in their power to make it on their own and be responsible just get F'd time after time. It's beyond depressing, and I have no idea how a normal family can financially survive. I'm a bachelor and wonder WTF is happening. Then I see $6.99 for a pound of bacon, $3.99 for a processed loaf of bread, etc. Add gas and utilities and a normal person is out $20K a year before factoring in housing or insurance. Sure, the stock market is up.....after they hammered the average person and made them spit everything up for dirt cheap then printed trillions to hand out to the bankers and cronies. When you have to cash out your IRA or sell just to make ends meet or save your home...you're back to where you started from if you are lucky enough to be in that top 30%. It's like playing Pac-Man with 3 lives when the other guy has the code for unlimited lives. Who do you think is going to lose? Every day of normalcy is a blessing in my opinion. The geopolitical scene knows what the game is as well. China and Russia almost cooked our goose in 2008...I know for a fact. I would rather let a crack addict into my house for dinner than trust anything coming from our policy makers and representatives. The average person isn't paying $150 for a hockey stick or $107 for a Sabres game....they are paying $12 for a rubber football that 22 people can play with and $20 for a Rockpile seat at The Ralph. Even then....they probably cringe given the climate.

As I have "grown up", I tried to give understanding and benefit of the doubt. It always comes back to the core being however. I'm not saying Reinhart is some bad dude...he seems like a great guy. You better have 2 or 3 guys with talent and switchblades surrounding him though, or else it becomes the same old story. I think Murray understands that...so I'm not too concerned.
