  1. That's funny....I would have expected to be reading your posts in 3.5 font.......
  2. Okie Dokie.... Allow me the next hour to search the forum for the 2 dozen derogatory comments on Battista and his Italian Heritage.... It was a black/watermelon joke.....tinged in the fact the Eleven admits he works for a major law firm in Buffalo that deals with bankruptcies and your city's biggest accomplishments to date are 8 acres of mowed lawn to hold concerts on near a waterway that has been here since the dawn of age and food trucks. Not to mention the "revitalization" being proclaimed is pretty much the same handful of developers getting public money to RENT out units to the masses while less than 1,000 units have come public for sale. Go F Yourselves..... Either take a joke for what it is.... or go F yourselves. What doesn't belong in an awesome thread is a law office grossing $70 million a year in revenues getting excited about $40 of free watermelon....
  3. Thank You..... It's only 72 degrees out....panties shouldn't be bunching.....
  4. You could have said I am unfair to presume a bunch of shady lawyers would try to bribe a person in power for a shot at big $$ You could have said I was anti-Buffalo to hint the city is close to bankruptcy Let's all get outraged about the $40 worth of fruit......... I guess Pegula is a super racist since he made 3 jokes about Brown in a span of 20 seconds in front of the entire city and news media.....
  5. Come on..... really? Byron Brown is whiter than Derek Roy.
  6. Darcy was GM of an NHL team for 16 years..... If the Sabres were a country, they'd be Nigeria. Always bragging about the pipeline, but dirt poor and citizens dead and starving....
  7. Uh oh....is the city finally going bankrupt and you guys are trying to woo the mayor for the account?
  8. The funny thing is, Murray is trusting a 1st round bust who scored 6 goals in 7 NHL seasons to be a prime evaluator of talent. That's like hiring a jockey who won 6 races in 7 years to be your jockey agent.......
  9. We just had a modern day Lusitania and Israeli ground incursion into Gaza within 3 hours......and nobody bumped the politics thread.
  10. He at least gives solid effort most of the time. Of Hodgson, Myers and Ennis....I'm most comfortable that Ennis comes closest to earning his entire contract.
  11. You can never have enough 5'8" blondes with vocal fry.......
  12. He's only going to be skating for the Stanley Cup champs the next 2 years. And if he is what you say, who's to say Zadorov and his "looks slow out there" isn't the 5th best defensive prospect in 2 years? That's the problem. The team is where it is....and I am all for checking the kids out and hoping....I just think you are nuts if you are running to the bank off any of these guys.
  13. I predict all of your posts will be purely bitching about someone else here. BOOM! Batting .850 Dude.... #BLUEPRINT???!!!!
  14. We had to move McNabb, who was one of your top prospects, and 2 2nd round picks for Fasching and Delauries. I understand moving strength for weakness, but given that Murray said he offered 3 2nd round picks to 7 different teams in the middle to end of the 1st round and they all balked.....you are trying to turn red and green chips into black chips. So far I see a lot of red and white in the pile, a few greens, and Girgensons is a black. Maybe Reinhart gets the prize, but you better not miss at #2. I still think you put yourself over the top with HOCKEY trades. We just don't have anybody or aren't near the point of doing that. You are relying on pure numbers working in your favor. Even if Murray is an average GM, that still puts you as an average team in 4 years if you get an extra 2 or 3 top 9 forwards or top 4 defensemen out of all the prospects. That's what's scary. I don't think this is Murray's plan. I hope to see some hockey trades with guys like Myers and Hodgson. Clean the stink.
  15. We were talking the other day about player defining plays...I was in the Tampa end zone when Losman scrambled and ended up 5 yards out of the back of the end zone but still acted as if the play were alive 3 seconds later. I don't know what the hockey equivalent is, but something tells me we can find it in a Tyler Myers clip....
  16. It did sound encouraging and that is a valid hope coming out of something like this. I sort of poo-poo any talk of franchise prospect strength and cupboard stocking. I've seen McCabe, Larsson, Ruhweedle, and Grigorenko play and the first 3 are lucky to get 200 NHL games. Armia doesn't even exist in my mind. That's 5 of your top 20....so I discount any excitement about the future. You have your Girgensons and Zadorovs and maybe Risto....but then to me it's just a bunch of filler and hopefully one of the Lemieux/Fasching/Carrier types ends up hitting big. Maybe you get 2. If you rely on solely building through the draft, you will always be building.
  17. Call me a knuckle dragger. JP Losman had the strongest and best deep ball of any QB in Bills history. You put him in direct threat of physical harm and he was a Chihuahua.... It's the game....not a 4H Ribbon event.....
  18. I remember getting all the solos in the college band, then getting put on the spot as a spectator at a bar to play for Stan Kenton's old lead player who was stuck at the bridge.....and almost making a poopy in my pants..... He looked better his second stint last year. He NEEDS to play physical, so if reports from last night hold...it's a step in the right direction. I don't want a 6'4" Ehrhoff.....
  19. And Dumont And Kalinin And Gaustad And they had Gerbe playing with a broken back And it took unsolicited advice to diagnose Tim Connolly after he missed an entire season And they brought Roy back for 1 game on a blown out knee which pretty much relegated him to a $1 million player going forward I'm sure I'm forgetting a few.......
  20. 2/2 on jugulars....not a big enough sample size. #analytics I'm not sure who is still there, and in fairness, that was Tallinder's first arm break.
  21. Chalk it up to the Sabres medical/training staff once again.... Tallinder breaks his arm in the same spot and McKee gets MRSA. I pray for you Tyler....I pray for you.....
  22. Uh huh........and I ate some Kale after my 3rd heart attack..... Yes.....like we can give credit to the weasel for aerating the lawn next to the chicken coups.....
