Lord knows how much I hate Ted Nolan and never support him.

Has anyone bothered to confirm that Blysma coached BOTH CROSBY AND MALKIN IN THE SAME REGULAR SEASON GAME LESS THAN 200 TIMES?????

OK....since I am being nice and trying to communicate clearer. When someone tells you: "I don't know why you would eat at Red Lobster when you can eat at Nobu. Did you see that shrimp scampi at Red Lobster?", Then I point out, "Did you see Long John Silvers serve up the same shrimp scampi at 90% quality as Nobu for $7.99 that Nobu charges $59.99 for?" That doesn't mean I said, "Nobu has Sh!tty Food". It means that I don't want to stand in line for 2 hours to pay $60 for something at a stuffy and structured establishment when I can sit down and relax with at Red lobster for $14.99 and $3 beers with my teenage kids, and the quality is similar, while the value and overall experience is the best given the situation. How can you say that with a straight face when the reason you don't want Bylsma is because you saw him coach for 3 games in the same tournament??????? See my response to LGR using delicious seafood as my example of failed logic.

I guess that is the irony of me being a poor communicator. My biggest reason for being on the board is to NOT let someone tell you how to think.

If you said Babcock, or spin the wheel of Bylsma, McLain, McClellan, Carlyle, Torts, DeBoer, Richardson......I would say Babcock. On who is the best coach in general?.... Babcock (5-2), Bylsma (6-1), McClain (8-1), McClellan (5-1), Carlyle (6-1), Torts (5-1), DeBoer (8-1), Richardson (15-1) The Buffalo media and fans toteboard? Babcock (1-5), Everyone else combined (7-2) For THIS team....the next 3-5 years? Yes...that is why I have been vocal. Seriously though.....did you watch Babcock's 2014 team? You saw Ted Nolan have a system with the Sabres where goalies had stratospheric save percentages compared to their norm. They usually lose, but it was a constant. You saw Ted Nolan come within 2 minutes of knocking Babcock and Canada out of a medal with that same system. You saw 70% of the fanbase wanting to run that half-bred, no system, tank-wrecking, son of a gun right out of town. Yet somehow nobody gives pause? I laid out the reasons for Bylsma over Babcock. I'm glad many understood and even think it is a good option.

I've never said I don't like him. I just said he'd be the best coach they had in 30 years. I just don't see the points I have brought up being brought up everywhere. There is a manic push for 50 something year old guy who has his name on the Cup 1 time, while the benefits of alternative candidates are hardly being discussed. I respect X. so if we end up with DeBoer, I can handle that. I think Blysma is perfect. There are 4 or 5 other guys who are just as successful and hitting or in their prime. In horseracing we'd call Babcock an underlay on his actual ability.....but the fans are buying into it. I've said multiple times I would be glad to have him. At 5-2.....not 1-5......

It needs to be on WGR, or if you have a better idea, I am willing to listen. I want Ted Black available for questioning, and if you want to try and work something out with Gibby, he can come too. You can ask me the first 5 questions. Anything you want. Have I ever been employed by the Sabres? Is my uncle Pat LaFontaine? Whatever you want. We will then go into a 10 question segment with Mr. Black and anyone else if they show up. You get the first question.......then we alternate. At the end I get to ask you 1 question. You say I have a bully pulpit. I post on a public message board for zero compensation. Let's see if you are willing to have an honest assesment of skills....even when I concede to going on a media outlet which makes almost all of it's revenue off of the owner of the Sabres. Whadda say? If you don't have the sources and power to pull that off, then please pass it on to your sources within the organization.......I would be willing to have an hour long, live Q+A with any of the top executives.....Ted Black, Terry Pegula, Tim Murray, Cliff Benson......... The sad thing is that as the wings became more popular and meat prices have gone up in general, a lot of places have gone to bigger roaster wings which have more meat, but are lower quality. You get bland meat and broken bones. I notice that a lot when a place with decent wings runs a special. they go to the rubbery roasters and on a regular day do it up right like you want.

Fair for sure.... If he was hired, Babcock would by default become the greatest coach of the Sabres the past 30 years. I just hear Ruff praising him...I see Canada and Babcock/Hitchcock/Ruff.....I see the 1 Cup and lots of "nice jobs"......I see the UN, not the Colonial Militia.....I see Chet and Muffy jumping on the wagon.....I rightly get nervous. I'll tell you this much.....if they do hire Babcock and draft Eichel, and with Rex Ryan and all the moves.....if the Sabres end up with 78 points and the Bills 7-9.......this city is going to flip.
