  1. It's funny you say that. I just found out one of my favorite buddies got adopted to be a dressage/jumper. He was all boy and a big macho goofball and a stakes horse at 2 and 3. He started getting bumps and bruises and we retired him to a good home. Over the past 2 years he has turned totally fu-fu with all his canters and stuff. It's like watching Jared Allen on Dancing With the Stars. He's 9 though now and thriving doing that stuff. A lot of the retired horses that work with the Police are in their teens and such
  2. Makes sense..... You are right......somebody pull the audio on these kids.
  3. Do you read the articles in Playboy as well?
  4. It's a choking merry-go-round in the pool
  5. I actually like the Canadian broadcast because they show more of the individual events. I'm not ragging on them....it's just funny how over the top they get. It's like an SCTV skit. On a related note........Turkish gymnist Goksu Uctas is my early favorite for "worth doing jail time for" award.
  6. You enjoy women's hockey. To each their own. You can back into any theory using stats to justify what you want to show.....which is what Darcy is known for. When I see something like this........I want to take away any credit I gave for them drafting a man like Girgensons and taking a chance on Grigorenko. In reality, Darcy probably just looked at the spreadsheet and took the best available guy.
  7. I love watching the homerism of the Canadian announcers. The drama. They sneak in for a bronze in diving and the announcers go on for 3 minutes like they just chased the Nazi's out of town.
  8. If that is the deal....I will give Darcy credit. A "wish he was Ryan", a "plummeting prospect", a 1st, and a d-man who became steady last year, but is still chicken in the physical department when the games matter. Sekera is a nice #4 regular season defenseman. Pretty much a mix of Ehrhoff and Sulzer. Sabres need to move D. Next year I'd rather have Ryan and Weber in the lineup than Stafford and Sekera....so to me that is basically the trade. I like Robv's beating of the Berglund drum......he is the target in my opinion. If this Ryan deal gets done, Doan signs, and the Sabres can ship say Leopold/Brennan/Tropp for Berglund.....I will let Darcy go through my sister's underwear drawer.
  9. He admits it is too simple in the very first paragraph. First we get Corsi numbers showing Stafford is great, right after they sign him. Now we get this stuff telling us the draft picks are great. I've listened to Darcy pull spreadsheets out of his bezoonga and justify BS for years. I don't want to hear about some yahtzee cup theory and spreadsheet......I want to see accountable men skate on the ice, put people through the boards, score goals, and play past April 23rd. We're about to go on Presidential administration #3 since the last time it has happened. Plus.....I just wanted to bust TB's chops and make fun of the shriners in the mini-car running the team. :)
  10. You are just doing more to prove to me that Darcy sits around playing with Microsoft Excel all day. First we had the Corsi numbers and a bunch of Sabres showing up.....now this. Maybe the sequel to Moneyball can be "Moneyball2-Darcyball"....."Where you use statistics and spend MORE than everyone else, yet still can't get into the playoffs." Who would star? William H Macy as Darcy? Jim Nabors as Pegula? Andy D!ck as Ted Black? Channing Tatum as Lindy? (We have to keep to scale in making perception 500% greater than reality)
  11. Boudreau ran that team ripe for the picking for a guy who isn't happy. For anyone that watched 24/7 on HBO.......man that room had the electricity of a AAA battery. Carolina was starting to put things together last year. It stinks there is another team to worry about for even making the playoffs.
  12. How's Larry Quinn doing? I'm sure a few people will walk away with envelopes as they run up Uncle Terry.
  13. I fully support coming in 1st and overpaying. The other $63 million of salary cap is worthless if you don't have a leader like Doan in here. They would be paying an extra $2 million to "activate" $68 million in players. That is smart....and diverges from Darcy's usual....."We need to sit back and let the market set."
  14. Do you mind dressing like a 70's stewardess? Maybe that will work.
  15. Hopefully they were confused and it is her.....and she sends you photographic proof.
  16. I'm going to buy 300, $1 Filet'o'fish on Friday and corner the market on the Olympic game they are running.
  17. The first time I heard that I figured it was gross.....but if you get a good kettle chip like Cape Cod....it almost tastes like pierogi.
  18. I have a c-diff infested dollar bill that a 40 year old Romanian once picked up on stage with her who-ha that the Rangers are at least 8 points ahead of the Sabres by game 16.
  19. 5-5-6-6 ???
  20. And 12 goals 11 assists in 25 playoff games next year.
  21. Well....Odds to win the Cup went from 10-1 to 8-1 in the past 2 hours.......per Uncle Vito
  22. Unless they get Weber? And if they don't do you think they stand pat? By definition, getting him to sign the sheet puts them ahead. Giroux, Briere, Couturier and Schenn are their centers.....you could play wing and score 10. Pitt has pretty much stood pat, but Crosby, Malkin and Sutter aren't too shabby a trio down the middle. They still have Kunitz, Neal, Letang, Fleury......stop me when you stary getting depressed matching up Vanek, Pominville, Stafford, Ennis, Hodgson at any point with these teams. The Sabres HAVE to get Doan and they HAVE to make a trade for a 6'4" 220lb center. They HAVE to. Or else it is just a matter of guessing the margin of points they are behind these types of teams. NYR/PIT/PHI/BOS/(Was/FLA)/.......for 6th you are battling the Stanley Cup participant Devils, Carolina who is on the move, Tampa who whiffed last year like the Sabres, and Winnipeg who in my opinion is set to be in the playoffs the next 5 years. Oh and Ottawa who outplayed them last year, the Leafs who are still sniffing for Luongo, and well...the Islanders.
  23. If that is their plan B.....what is their plan C? Bobby Ryan for Rupp and a 2nd?
  24. ??? They are the deepest team in the league! If they sign Doan...he is their #3 RW. If they don't, their top 4 defensemen on a President's Trophy team average 24 years old and have the current top goalie in the game.
  25. Considering they pulled off the trade 48 hours after he visited....I'd say that's a nice cherry on top if he was seriously thinking about it. He only has a few years left and the Rangers are loaded for bear the next few years. Terry Bross has Pegula over a bed of rusty nails now. If the Sabres walk away with what they have done......the separation of the Pens/Flyers/Rangers is even deeper...then you have Boston steady....the Was/Fla division winner......and you are hoping for 6th.
