  1. Yeah....as much as some of that makes sense...Razor is a Buffalo Sabres employee. I don't think it is hogwash, but easy to look the other way. I agree though.
  2. How are those juicy Georgia Peaches treating you? Just beware you don't hit one with 2 pits.
  3. I'm shocked. I never viewed him as a guy I could get behind, but I think tonight he is demonstrating COMMAND. He is probably energizing the base beyond best expectations at this point. All my liberal friends on Facebook are silent. Either they don't care and his base is shot.....or they know this is a disaster for the President and are in a hole. If Romney can pulloff this type of fire and accuracy....Bills 34 SF 13
  4. Obama vs. Romney Peach Schnapps vs. Brandy The Romster is prepared it looks like...channeling his inner Joel Osteen Shocked at how much control Romney has taken here........he's been drilling for this for weeks it looks like.
  5. I just want one of them to belch on a live mic.
  6. Gilmore woke up and was laying licks out there. I think going forward they are going to have to trust him on an island more and use a few more schemes with guys like Wilson and Moats coming on the blitz. Barnett was shaky, but game. I can't tell if he is just a half step slow now....or if he is gutting something out. Dareus was the key. Each time he went to the sideline, he hobbled more and more from up high. If he can't push, you don't get the tandem collapsing the middle and allowing the De's to clean up. Yeah...Williams is sturdy. The good news is SF plays a more traditional O, so we match up better. You need the front 4 to hold and allow the LBs to make their reads. Sheppherd had his best game yet against Cleveland. I can see the Bills holding them to 17-23 points and it will be up to Fitz and the running game not to F things up. Again, everyone gets all ADHD. After week 1, team sucked....after week 3 we are supposed to cream the winner of the division the past 73 years........now they suck and Gailey/Wandstedt can't coach, even though the same 2 guys went 11-5 together the 2 years they flip-flopped in Miami with pretty much the exact same talent level.
  7. But he's sturdy against the run. Bruce was an impact guy, but teams would run right at him a lot of his career. Williams seems to have a knack for knowing where to be when a QB gets flushed out....sort of like a good center in hockey doesn't need to look to make a pass...he anticipates where a smart winger "should"be. Dareus was dinged up pretty good....groin, thigh, something had him hobbled. Sounds fine though. Those 2 push the middle and there will be numbers for all.
  8. Any "oldtimers" here remember Jake "the ###", or Jake "the Snake", on Main St. downtown? He was an ancient guy who would call out your measurements as you walked in the door.....and every judge, cop, and lawyer would go there to get $500 suits for $100. They were supposedly seconds, but nobody is going to ask questions when the entire judicial system is getting an 80% discount.
  9. Williams finishes with double digit sacks....maybe even pushes 15. How many times did the Pats throw a route past 12 yards? Brady is serpentine in his ability to slither through pressure. I saw 3 times where most guys would be down, and nobody touched the guy. I have been disappointed by his lack of any game control whatsoever, but don't slit your throats for a game against the Pats. If they lose 34-13 aganst the 49ers and 30-21 against Arizona.....then let the dogs loose.
  10. It's a tradition. At 2 am you'd be surprised how many girls are willing to show their boobies to the groom in order to autograph the love ewe. Speaking of which, if we get you a custom Lindy fleshlight, are you ok with the walrus bristle on top?
  11. http://www.muttonbone.com/
  12. You can just take it in face value.
  13. Dr. Freud would note your choice of adverb when disecting your true feelings on the matter. I'm sorry, I promise the 3rd time will go for at least a solid 5 minutes......
  14. We should set up an opening day gameday thread and everyone get plastered, post their rants, and talk dirty to each other. If Chz and Bio don't show up, I'm willing to wear a wig for y'all.
  15. Here's a Cigar Barch. I hope you can afford some Vasiline with your paltry salary....... Meanwhile....get your Sabres/Devils tickets for April 4th.......only $53 to get in the door, and $146 for club level...... Shut the whole F'n thing down.
  16. Deluca, he was soft doubled all day and DID get open. If anything it is up to Gailey to find ways to bring him inside more. If they are going to play Smith and Graham, maybe it's time to move Stevie inside where Fitz actually has a fighting chance to hit him more often, and you'll end up with single man onn the outside. He's a #12-20 receiver in this league.
  17. Yeah, but I can understand people wanting to hold back hope, or vent. If someone wants to lay blame or be snarky about them, I am not going to call them a troll, or a-hole, or miserable. I am just going to bring facts to the table and like with the Sabres.....a lot of it has to do with my feel for people and who should be trusted and the chances the personal traits are there to go along with the athletic traits. I use the word synergy a lot....but to me that is what it is all about. A wave of results that come exponentially instead of linear. It can be positive or negative. In the Sabres case I think a lot of it has been negative with the same types of passive people who are slow to accept responsibility...from the players to the front office to the ownership. In the Bills case I see so much honesty and hard work, and value level leadership that I know they will have this thing figured out over time. They are getting it in chunks and 4 games into this year it has been inconsistant, but I trust them....GM, coach, players. If I didn't, I'd be the first one here railing that they have no hope and changes need to be made. I agree with the goaline call. CJ has a history of choking when healthy. My only excuse would be that he knows Belichek is smart enough to know they aren't going to have a gimp pound it in there, so he went contrarian. I don't know if he got asked the question about it, but I'd like to hear. I thought it was horrible to call. Put freakin Dareus in at FB and give it to him.
  18. I'm not going to multiquote, but.... 1) On those runs by NE, how much yardage came when Dareus and K. Williams were both on the field? The D came up small, but I think it was disproportional against 2nd line 2) Stevie Johnson was open on 2 15-20 yard seam/outs in the 2nd half and Fitz overthrew him. NE coverage was over/under on him a lot of the game, and the best matchups were to find the seam on the other side where trips were bunched up. They had Chandler/Graham/Jones lined up and depending on the safety shade, fitz would pick his spot and target. Problem is.....unles it is a staightline pass between the hashes, or a throw within 7 yards....he is horrible. TJ Graham was open for a 85 yard TD and Fitz underthrew him. He then overcompensated an overthrew him when he had a step on what could have been a 40yd TD next drive. The Bills were lining up the gimp RBs next to Stevie and were trying to get them on the LB 1-1, which worked on that nice catch by Freddie in the 1st half. The Bills could have really done a number to NE in the passing game. Fitz is smart, but he just isn't hitting the throws and I am starting to slide over to the "we need to use a #1 on a QB until we get the right guy" mode. I like Gailey a lot and his playcalling. I just saw the tweets from his presser today and he is still honest to the core. "There is a difference between having confidence and believing. These guys folded when it mattered.".....or words to that effect. I missed the 1st drive because security was a nightmare, but Belicheck also punted on 4th and 2 at the Bills 40something on their 2nd possesion. He needs to be fired. I am on board with questioning Mario at this point. Again, slap a 26 on him because he is Vanek. Nowhere to be found at times, and then he's going to go have 3 sacks against Arizona. No excuses for this O-Line....Reinhart and Hairston started half the season last year...granted the crappy half, but no "cohesion and communication" excuses.
  19. Ain't it? Fricken Marcel Dionne is a HOF'r and hocks cards and autographs at his shop. That's why I am with the owners too. The owners put up all the financial risk for a niche league, and the players have money coming out the wazzo for doing something every little Canadian boy would do for free. If the players feel the owners are too greedy and they have faith they are the product, why don't they form their own league and take equity in themselves? You could easily form the Buffalo Saburs...where Vanek and Miller own 7% of the team, Pominville 4%, etc. Pay yourself $100K a year, get the rights to the young guys, and then increase their salaries going forward for performance through profit sharing. You won't see that because most of these guys have zero to bring to the table other than gliding 30MPH on frozen water.
  20. The D isn't terrible, they gameplanned and were great for 2 games and bad for 2 games. Look what kind of numbers Cleveland has put up against solid teams like Baltimore, Philly and Cincy. KC offense is sort of feast or famine....but this is a good defense. Biggest problem is solidifying the CB spot. Gilmore was much more confident today and was laying people out. He made the right read on 2 could have been INTs...and he cleaned up that in-out hitch that burned him for 2TD's this year....then they got him on the in because he protected long, but again, strong game. NE is smart. Belichek moved Welker into space in the 2nd half. The first half they were having him tighter to the line and on some plays, Mario lined up and rushed from a LB/CB position after chipping Welker. It worked. Once they got him singled on Rodgers and the run game was opening up, Brady just looked where Scott/Wilson were and went from there. Also, they were killing SPencer Johnson with the run. A lot of that yardage came in a pseudo-hurryup when Williams/Dareus were on the bench. Sheppherd is making strides and Moats as well.....they weren't on the field today. Barnett is a lion but just a shade slow. I like them next week at least against the spread. Rinehart is a solid run guy, and Hairston is ok. SF isn't an explosive offense. Today was deflating because it could have signaled a changing of the guard, but there is no reason to get depressed about the team as a whole compared to the league. The smartest coach/qb/wr in the league picked them apart because the Bills turned the ball over and lost all momentum. Belicheck took the Bills very seriously today with his decision making......the most respect he has ever shown them early on. The punt from Bills territory and FG try on 4th and a few, his lack of using timeouts in the first half as to avoid a big play against him, his nonaggressive use of the challange flag.......it was the most cautious he has ever been, and he really was a bit nervous. That alone is encouraging...when the best at it can be cautious with you.....you have "something" going on.
  21. 1) Yeah...it's when a team "outphysicals" them. They know it, ala the Sabres. It's a trend, and it's pissing me off. 2) You are off on Fitz. Where he makes guys better is if he has other intelligent football people around him. David Nelson is the perfect example. A lot of the o-line is smart...Freddie and Chandler are too. That is why the delivery is there, and sacks down, and plenty of nice runs sprung. Nelson knows where to go for every coverage and Fitz trusts him to be there. Chnadler too. The frustrating part is when pure talent gaps away from Fitz and he can't make up for their mistakes or aggressive play with his lack of physical tools. He is no franchise QB for sure, but if they keep the group on the come, he is capable. Missing more throws this year than ever though. He's also on pace for 48 TDs and Mario 6 sacks...which is meaningless in the end. 3) 7-9 is probably the floor, but they are a good team...I have no question. They don't have the making of a great team, but they can really gain momentum the 2nd half. Just need to survive and get out 4-5...3-6 is too much to expect to overcome. I actually think they match up well with SF. I hope the RB's are healthier. Spiller was only used in pass protection a handful of times today and he jumped into his block with his good shoulder and used no arms. He also gave himself up in the open field on the tackle. Freddy on his cuts was moving in slow motion. This line will be ok if those guys can play 90% And Gailey and Wandstedt are fine. They make adjustments. They get NE again in 5 weeks and I expect a much bigger D performance. Wanny is stubborned and likes to regroup after battle. The same combo was in Miami but flipped titles and had good but not great teams. That's what these Bills remind me of. I lived down there and across the street from camp and actually had Dolphin season tickets. When Wanny's schemes gel, it can be electric. Not flashy, but confident. These guys just need a win against a real team to spark it.
  22. When this team gets beat up on the field...a lot of them pack it in emotionally. There were a few guys going nuts out there all game...Barnett, Gilmore, Wood.....but like that Miami game last year, the team deflated way too easily when guys started to get banged up. Fitz is Pommer, and Mario is Vanek. Just no emotional leadership when things are tailspinning. It's one thing to stay "cool", but it's another to know when to stay cool and when to have the ability to put some hotpowder in peoples' jocks. Until they can put a foot on a throat of a bigboy, it's a 8-8 to 10-6 team. As long as they can go 4-5, they are very much alive for the year.....so it would be nice to split the road trip. And the fans absolutely abandoned this team in the 2nd half. I guess you can say they were feeding off the team, but it was sick to see the stadium empty with 11 minutes left and down by 2 scores. At the very end there were more Pats fans in the stadium than Bills fans. It was nice having the refs back. The flow and confidence was so much better, even though they were coming in cold.
  23. The "safe" move would be not to rattle any cages and cut a team captain and popular guy, days before the biggest game of the year. That's why I have to look at it as calculated....unless there is some story we don't know about like Moorman went on a crack bender, or pulled a Chmura in a hottub. This is a bigger lockerroom story than performance story at the end of the day, and the Bills had to know that going in. It would be much easier to do this after this game and on a 2 week western trip. I'll call it a Catalyst. Sometimes a catalyst backfires and creates an unstable solution....that's the gamble. Thanks!?!
  24. The Sabres similar move would be making Jochen Hecht a healthy scratch.....I probably wouldn't notice! Nix and Gailey have stones, and are honest. That's why I trust them and their moves. Cordy Glenn has done much better than I imagined, and they know they have a shot at the whole thing now...but they probably need this game to get it done. Big moments take big chances to get big results.
  25. These are old school guys who know the pulse of the team. It is an odd move at this time......and these 2 are too smart to just cut a popular guy willie-nillie. After the past 2 weeks, the defense has played as advertised and the O-line is making the skill guys a little bit better. They are probably licking their chops....if they can just get this game, then you get Freddy and Cj back full strength in a week or two. Status quo probably gets you a 31-24 loss........this are the types of calculated moves you make to build synergy for the year. It may not matter, but I trust Chan to get the message across and keep the room together. Gets the horses on their toes though.
