Something big is going on here though. I don't care about general hanky panky (seriously, no pun intended), but the circumstances as to when this came out, who is involved, etc. makes it a huge story. A lot of the top military guys are getting outed and burned, days after the election. Today there were stories blossoming left and right and even John Kerry's name being brought up. If this turns into a tattle-fest, who knows where it will stop. And yes....it does affect the job of the freaking head of the CIA when he gives full access to some tail on the side, and the fact he can't even figure out how not to get caught. If this is blowing up the country before the 2nd term even has begun, I can only imagine what this country will look like in 2016. Nah....way too many womanly attributes in conversation. Although the past 6 months I have agreed with her on a lot of stuff, which has me confused.

No...I see how shoddy it is now. The sad fact is for most of my adult life I have been dealing with all the fun that comes along with medical issues....the scheduling, the billing, the misdiagnosis, the hospital trying to overbill the insurance, the insurance trying to cover the facility but not the doctors. It will be an absolute disaster when these practitioners and facilities are forced to deal with the coming onslaught. I'm not even talking financial impact...just pure logistics. You can't see a specialist now. A lot of medicine is already a conveyor belt, and when government common sense is added to the mix....... I can't afford to pay out the A for insurance, but I do. Because if my cancer comes back, I do have medical options, but Medicaid would bone me dry and would force me to see Dr. Bunsen Honeydew. I'm not arguing against aiding people in receiving better medical care at more affordable prices......I'm just commenting how the Canadian system would have killed me. This one tried it's best to!

That's the thing.... I'm a patient at Roswell and you see Canadians coming down for treatment because of the bogdown and ultra HMO atmosphere. If I relied on Canadian healthcare, I'd be dead myself. I had an ultrasound where the radiologist deemed it inconclusive and to get another scan at a future date. I said, BS, called Roswell, they had me in 2 days later....said it's cancer on-the-spot, scheduled me for surgery at 7am the next day, had me in a CT scan and xrays that day....and we knew what we were going against. The tumor wasn't contained, and if I had to wait 5 months for a CT it would have been in lungs, brain, you name it. I pay through the a## for private insurance, but there is no way I am handing my life over to "the system".

That's why I am not saying anything. If I had the direct conversation I could feel better about it, but from what I can tell he has mentioned the aftermath of the correction in public, but just not why he is going to docs, and how it happened. You see what this team did to Tim Kennedy for a 100K..... It's just an interesting plot that ties the CBA in. Like I said, there are probably people on this board who knew about it much before I did, but it's embarassing to the Sabres so best kept on the downlow. If the guy is a team player, he will eventually be back on the ice with the team so best not ruffle too many feathers. We've talked for years here though about subpar training and medical issues though, and this one takes the cake if as reported.

It sounds like he had the injury, but was not being treated properly and played through it. Goes to get 2nd opinion and they say he should not have been playing. It sounded like he was on his own because he did not sound happy. If I talked to him myself I'd know, but trust the person 100% who had the covo and he sounded shocked at the situation. Haha! i hate doing it this way, but like I said, probably gets out there in time. Not even sure of current status of the situation and if healthy enough to play. Great point. I think if indeed it was as bad of a whiff as it sounds, there will be a lively discussion here on both the situation and expectations of the player himself.

As was relayed to me from a direct conversation with party involved. It has to come out at some point, and given the freeflow of information, wouldn't be surprised if some here know who I am referincing. If I had the conversation myself, I'd be a bit more specific. But it sounded like a SERIOUS whiff by the med staff. Not one of the superstars, but a popular fella. It just seems to be a trend over the years with these guys.

Uncle Vito never fails. Well, one time he told me they were out of cannoli at my favorite establishment when I asked him to pick me up a half dozen.....but when he came over, there was a gob of ricotta cheese and a chocolate chip smeared on the beltclip of his suspenders. That has always stuck in the back of my head.

There's one good thing about this lockout. Since the players have no access to team infrastructure, they are on their own for certain aspects which the team usually controls, one being medical. As something that comes as no surprise to me, I guess one of the hometown heroes was misdiagnosed by the Sabres staff and left to play out the season with a very serious condition. It was properly discovered when own care was sought, and from a very respected facility. This has been an ongoing debate for years here, and I am convinced more than ever that the team does not have top people overseeing the care of these guys, or they don't spend enough time with them. I'm sure the info will come out in time, but it's one of those, "you gotta be #### me?!" On the heels of Roy going to Dallas and getting surgery done, I would think that not only Roy has a return to better form, but this fella may put up much better production than last year.

Uncle Vito says: "Bet your life on it that this game will sellout." God bless the troops, God bless the Bills of Buffalo, and God bless us all.

It just makes the administration look like fools either way....if you take it at face value, the guy in charge of secret operations involving untold lives, weapons, and dollars, can't pull off a couple of quickies in the copy room without someone finding out....or......a week before he was supposed to testify about a possible giant coverup and 3 days after a hotly contested election, he just happens to decide maybe he should take a little break from the public eye. Great...now if something goes bad in the homeland over the next year, they can blame Patreus for being worried about juggling his women instead of the good of the country. Readymade scapegoat.

It's great when the head of the CIA can't even cover up a little trim on the side...... Maybe it was with a dude? Mr. Benjamin Ghazi?

DeLuca....you work in the banking and finance industry. On it's own merit, every single bank is insolvent and should collapse. The entire system is being held up by the removal of internal pricing regulations, and trillions in bailouts already handed out along with consistant ongoing swaps and fed purchases of securities at promised value, not current tangible value. Sure there is lending going on, because of unlimited borrowing at 0% and the promise of unlimited backing. Meanwhile the average worker has depressed wages, the underemployment/unemployment rate is in the high 20% mark where people are not getting benefits, the biggest expansion and supposed safety net is all civi;-service or government driven, and price driven loss of value is happening everywhere from the pumps to the supermarkets. The US Dollar index is over 80, yet gold sits above $1700. There are so many foreclosed houses on the books of banks that the average time of eviction is closing in on two years. Most small business owners I know have adjusted to the new normal. You scale down your holdings, you expect longer lag time on receivables, you consolidate job responsibilites among a smaller, key group of workers, and you empathise for others because you know they are doing the same thing. I am not saying that your specific area isn't doing well...but if it is, it is an anomoly.....and I'm going to take a guess here......if you are doing well, how many of the top execs there have recently come over from a government position over the past 3-4 years? That's what the rats do...they know the ship is sinking, they know where they are offloading the goods in the time remaining before the ship goes down, and they send their cronies to these locales in order to mutually backscratch. It's been going on all over since 2007. I'm glad you are doing well and am happy for anyone who is weathering the storm, but you need to understand that's what it is. Just because it is sunny and warm in your condo on the upper westside of manhattan doesn't mean that all of Staten Island isn't miserable and wiped out. Actually, our best bet as a country is for people to adopt your viewpoint, because once everyone understands the true realities behind all of this, it can be over in a flash.

I wonder if TruBlue has ever used that pickup line on a classmate......"Hey baby, how about after I buy you this drink, we go in the back and I gerrymander your district....."?

I don't know. I really don't know. Good analogy though. I'm more worried about what the definition of a "threat" is under this group. They laughed at Romney for not trusting Russia.

Our internal economic structure is dead. Have no doubt. Bush started the rolling over to keep the rich alive a little longer, and in all honesty I don't think it matters who is in there as you can't stop the math behind it right now. My only hope with Romney was that he would support the military, since that is our only hope right now. Just his election may have also freed up many small businesses from their holes, assuming they aren't stuck there. We are pretty much going to give up any national identity going forward. It feels like we are living amongst a hodgepodge of cartoon characters to many Americans who are more worried about the traditional values driven by God. It doesn't count anymore......and that is a scary place to put tens of millions of people. The majority has spoken....things that were warned about for decades are here and can't be put back in the box. So what do you do? It's sort of like following the Sabres. For years we would all be grumpy and debate each other about whether or not they were soft and undersized, or if it even mattered that they were. Sure, the games still went on, and they even made the playoffs at times....but in the heads of a certain faction it didn't matter because they knew the Sabres would never have any real success. And in the heads of others, those people were meanies and were obviously opressing the fans' fun. Well.....then the Black Swan of Lucic happened.....and that opened the eyes of everyone. There was no denying it. After years of getting by, you saw the culmination of a top to bottom take place where the stronger opposition had zero respect for them and did something unthinkable......and the Sabres just ran and hid. I think that is where we are now as a country. There has been stagnation with dribbles of success the past 4 years. One group is very concerned and has zero faith. Now we are just waiting for that Lucic type of event to happen. Something that is so grand and unthinkable....and then watch the reaction of the administration. It would be like if 9-11 happened and GW came out and said, "No biggie, only a couple thousand people, we'll be fine." That's the type of thing I expect to see, but it will be so big that there is no reversing it, and people will be left in utter shock. That's the fear, at least for me. In the end though, it's just a matter of when, not if......and years not decades.

Having Obama and Biden for 4 years is sort of like having Roy and Connolly as your top 2 centers for 4 years. Having Obama and Biden for another 4 years is sort of like having Hodgson and Ennis as your top 2 centers. There you go.....I just done pissed all you f'rs off!
