Say a fair offer to a qualified guy like Bylsma was 5 years and $12 million. If I'm him, I laugh in their face. You just offered $50 million to a guy I'm probably better than. I walk no matter what. Go to SanJose for similar money. If you call back at 5 for $15-20.....ok, I'm listening. Look at it this way.....Pegula just offered $5000 for a seat in the Club Level at the redline for the Stanley Cup and would be turned down. He comes and offers the guy 1 section over $1200 for his seat. Luke Richardson is up in the 300's and he will probably settle for that at $400. Between Wawrow saying Bylsma could be a candidate yesterday, mentioning him the first time in almost a year.....and GR asking Custance if a team should be able to collect Revenue Sharing while being able to offer unlimited funds to a coach.....it looks like us stupid jerks with our jerky thoughts are actually stupid for giving up our opinions for free. I think it does help. I know a transplant recipient that used their limelight to push the cause for others, and it really helped those that needed hope to keep chugging, and got a lot of people to at least sign up for the general donor list. It may be the toughest feeling in the world to see that happen to someone.....knowing they could be 100% if they just got a spare part, but might not make it to the next day without it. The process was on the up and up too. I was shocked how tight the process was. The person was high on the list anyway given their dynamics, but almost didn't make it. I'd pay to see that!

The ACTUAL bottom line is, if Babcock signs for the terms being reported, 1 of 3 things will happen: 1) The owners will attempt to collude on coachs' salary and outcast Pegula as a crazy man 2) The owners will have to pay more to coaches, thus taking the value of the franchise down without offsetting revenue increase 3) The owners will hit the fans in the wallet If you buy a house for $200,000 and the taxes are $2,000 a year, and the next day the taxes almost triple to $6,000.....try selling that house for $200,000. You can argue that Babcock adds value to the Sabres, but on a whole, he was already an nhl coach. If Detroit loses him, if he really is that value added, they get crushed, plus have to pay more for their next coach in theory and most likely reality.

Awesome indeed. It's actually valid point in general, but when you get live matching donors.....it's more about the match. I'm sure the person will be in a Sens suite at some point....maybe for life.
