It's interm. I'm cool with that...better than Patrick. We are going to waste another deadline with Regier though. Even he said in the press conference..."Lindy changing his style turned out to be too big of a risk" or words to that effect. I said when Pegula came in I was ok with Ruff as long as Regier was gone. The two are just horrible together. The co-dependency and longevity of the GM-coach-players is right out of a failed business textbook.

i've never confused the person with the coach. He has a few major weaknesses as coach, but always a rye, stand up guy off the ice. I hope he takes a year or two off and enjoys his family. He has had 2 major life events that would knock the crap out of anyone. Take a breather....then see what you want to do long term.

When I have more time I will find it...but Darcy is on record saying Lindy is his coach as long as he is the GM...multiple times. When people got mad because I called him a weasel survivor all these years....bottom line, Darcy hangs on. Of the 2...Ruff is better at his job and has a better chance of winning somewhere.

I smelled it on a Western road trip 4 years ago...... Too bad.... They need to purge this culture. If Rolston comes up....not so sure about things. You have to get rid of Darcy....you have to get rid of most of the remaining core.....this is like a freaking massacre scene and you need to tape it off.....board it up....and start over.

Darcy better be gone too....."as long as I'm the GM, Lindy is my coach"........let's watch the weasel survive this.... Lindy could have kept some of his hero status if he just stepped down. Cross your fingers they don't F this thing up....

Winnipeg has 5 guys on the top 3 lines that can score and blow you to bits on the boards and in the corners. 2 monsters on D and another 5 guys on D and the 4th line who can crush. Kaleta and Foligno on the same line could help....the 4th is fine...and Ott is his own sheriff. Not the worst move on a night like tonight. Probably ends up a 3-2 game or 4-2 with an EN. I expect Buffalo to get battered and bruised though. Not sure who wins....I'd take Peg and the +120 over -140 though.

Well...he got into more fights protecting the Sedins the first week of the season than Tyler Myers has in his career........and he busted both of their faces open to draw blood. Take it for what it's worth.

The Jets are going to come out pounding. This is the start of a 5 game road trip for them and they just got Bogosian back a few days ago, and Byfuglien is back after missing a few weeks. They will be looking to set a tone for the road trip and the rest of the year...and what better team to unleash your big boys against but the Sabres? I love the Jets and they way they are built. If they will be as good as I think they can be, this is the type of game they wake up in. Goaltending has been iffy, but now their defense is back together. The Sabres can hold up in talent, but if Winnipeg decides now is the time to go....this is the sort of game where a couple of the Sabres end up injured and the difference in size and grit in the top 3 lines is evident. Very interested in this outcome.....

Yes....Kassian scored more on the first line.....imagine if Hodgson centered Hecht and Gerbe? How many points would he have? And I guess much like the chicken and the egg, would you rather have a guy who plays 3rd line on a division leader that has 67% more points 1/3 through the season over a 1st line player on a team in the dumpster? We shall see......

It's worse....that means that for every game every other Eastern conference team plays...either 2 or 3 points will be awarded to eastern conference teams. There are no western teams to help out on a run. Detroit and Vancouver can't beat Ottawa.....it will be Carolina and Tampa beating Ottawa....or giving Ottawa a point as well. You're looking up at pretty much everybody. Even when you win...half of those teams will keep pace with you.....when you lose half or more will distance themselves further from you......not a good scenario for a slow starter in this season.

This is F'n killing me seeing people who believed in you guys.....who did the right thing and tried to fend off the naysayers....now just shattered. Myers, Foligno and Ennis? I'm not even sure what it would take.

He's great on special teams and he is an effort guy with lots of body....but that body makes him a little "clunky" at this level. Love his attitude though.

That's the point.....you sign a Bigboy Letter and say you know he is damaged goods. You take the risk of his contract, etc. This kid is one of the most dynamic players the past 20 years. Sometimes chi square works.....sometimes the eye test works..... :P

I've felt like you for 6 years.....but I still manage to spew crap out of my mouth for the heck of it! I wish it didn't get to this point for so many people. This was always my biggest fear. If we could have gotten enough momentum going early on.....maybe we wouldn't be here today. Sadly, no relief seems to be in sight.

Lots of "fine young men" being released....Jones, Barnett, McGee, Wilson..... Can't say any of them needed to stay. It didn't work. Sad thing is Brooks, Williams and Rogers can't play at a high level in this league. By making these cuts....you need 3 NFL CB's, and 3 NFL LB's to add to the roster. Bradham is a welcome effort guy, but he is limited. Yikes.....might as well go all out to clear cap and look at Kelsay, Kyle Williams, Lindell, Chandler off the injury......take a year, put your system in, and go young. Are the Bandits any good? This Sh!t is depressing...... By the way....hammer me all day for missing on the Bills. I thought they had the guys to do this. I feel like mission control watching the Challenger at throttle-up.

Can you trade players on IR? I would offer Myers and Foligno today and see if the Sens want to try and save the season.....
