Because you recently spent $400 on the family credit cards for shorts so you could enjoy the contact?.........

Yes...he's PO'd.....he has spent the day starching his shirts for road trips, and stoically gazing at the 98.4 his child brought home on their 3rd quarter report card..... -
Always interesting to see reactions.....a few flip-flops from what I would have hypothisized. Nobody ever wants to see a guy get really hurt. Just look at that fight last night. Frazer wanted to crawl into a hole and die after knocking that kid out. You want to be the alpha.....but keep the family intact and strong. A girl I know went to her first game at BU and saw Travis Roy go down 10 seconds into it. Talk about looking like a barbaric sport.....

:P Has anyone ever watched the reality show with the family of little people? They had some normal sized kids and then a little guy. Really neat family. But every time I see and hear Tyler Ennis....he looks and talks JUST like the kid in that show. I can't help but laugh. -
?? I think it's been so long since this city has seen actual, non-pussified hockey being played, that we forget what naturally happens. The guy turned into him looking for contact....he got contact....he flew and a fluke accident happened. Let's post videos of the same play that has happened 300,000 times over the past decade without a poor guy getting the shaft. If we catered to accidents, a hooking penalty would be a game misconduct and Uwe Krupp would have been banned from the league for what happened to Malarchuk.

Horrible for the fella... That was just a hockey play going into the corner. The guy actually turned into and initiated contact of his own. He just got sent flying.

That's great advice. Playing, "just the tip", still exposes you fully to all potential STD's and possible pregnancy. Kids....just be like your captain Pommer, and save it until marriage........ -
Diveler???....

Did you see how awful McLaren felt about it? Most of the guys able and willing to do this on the ice are really good guys. A lot of the best guys in the community are the enforcers. You want to show your worth out there...not kill someone. I felt worse for McLaren after that.....if that makes sense.

They finish with 45 points.......

They still don't make the playoffs.....Miller is going to weigh 155lbs by the end of April at this rate. I cringed when Rolston was brought up, but he has taken a different approach in about 4 or 5 key aspects....and to me the biggest factor so far to go along with the KISS defense is that guys who have guts and instincts are using them. I notice Regehr not going through some of the motions and really using his body more in every situation, just simple things like putting a skate behind a guy's knee along the boards while clutching. Old school stuff that Lindy probably went ape over because it could get you a penalty. Sure, guys like Pardy may take an extra call or two along the way, but the attitude of bringing it to the other team and not waiting for them was highly evident to me. Yesterday was a regression, but the Kaleta thing and Carolina's quick start and speed may have sent them into a flashback. I really want to see Lieno under Rolston......I think he will thrive. And for as poor as Staffords results have been, I've even noticed him start to go a little more near the net and is trying the "I think I can" mind-f method. If he can get another goal or 2 here soon, maybe he starts to go. Vanek-Hodgson-Pommer Ennis-Ott-Stafford Lieno-Grigs-Foligno Kaleta-Hecht-Gerbe Give Rolston another 2 weeks....and if there is continued progress....and they continue to play "bigger" and KISS defense.....this is not an attrocious lineup by any means, and can be quite entertaining if you are willing to settle for effort, guts, and 3-2 final scores..... If I'm Ted Black or whoever is TP's mouthpiece....I'm still looking to move 2 of the following...(Pominville, Stafford, Sekera, Myers, Ennis). If we are going to keep this style of play going, you still need a big 2 way center who doesn't have to be a world-beater, and a #4ish type big defenseman who will hit but is not disgusting handling the puck. You may not be able to match the firepower of the top teams, but you can outwork them and put yourself in a legit position to develop your young guys and have a team capable of advancing when you do make the playoffs.

Including myself.....I'm talking more about the "Why?!...Why?!.....Leave Brittany Alone!!!!" vibe that is out there. This city freaking loved Ruff. Over the past two years his unscientific approval rating went from 85% to 13% if you take WGR polls seriously. Sabres fans were collectively choking on their own figurative vomit. It was beyond time to go.

I agree...revolving door of coaches isn't the fix. We had the 2nd LONGEST TENURED COACH IN ALL OF PRO SPORTS!!!!! A lot of this roster is a problem...not so much talent, but Mad Cow Disease.......gotta put'em down. I was against Rolston taking over, but until tonight, I am actually impressed. The Kaleta thing needs to be forgotten by the team. Trust me, I'd rather get a Senate of posters from this board to make transactions over Darcy.
