GDT: Pittsburg Penguins @ Buffalo Sabres 7PM 9/21/24--Preseason
inkman replied to bob_sauve28's topic in The Aud Club
Hopefully it’s just a learning curve thing or whatever as Puljijujarvi is one of the few if not the only NHL caliber on their roster last night. Otherwise, we could be looking at a lot of football scores this season for the Sabres. -
They kept Allen and Cook out there far too long for my fantasy team’s longevity. I want points but when your up 3 tuddys in the 4th quarter, you can call off the dogs.

Open mic night at Sabrespace going as expected -
I’m sure it’s not real but I’d do it yesterday. Just the kind of prick this team needs.

Johnny Gaudreau and Brother Matthew Killed by Drunk Driver

I hope all the proceeds from his jersey sales are going to his family. I’m sure they have plenty of coin, givin the contracts he’s received, but profiting off someone’s passing is death merchant nastiness. -
Not sure if they changed anything but my brief foray into MSG+ was easily, unequivocally the worst streaming service I’ve ever experienced. That was last season, not sure if they fixed it (doubt it) but I made it exactly one game before switching services. (Technically my BIL, gave me his login credentials for a service not to be named but let’s just say, I get it Directly).

It checks a lot of boxes

I read he’s mulling retirement. At 32. Reasonable for hockey, absurd for real life. I’ll be working until the day I die which is hopefully not too soon but you never know.

If they would hound the puck like those horny bastards hound smurfette, it wouldn’t be a discussion. I think Rousek may need to clear waivers. If that’s true and he’s sent down, his status as a prospect is kaput.

I’m guessing he’ll have some volunteers to console him.

They squeaked every second they were on my truck. The ones I just got no squeak.

So my wife’s car was in the shop yesterday. Also needing brakes. Now the tire pressure sensor isn’t reading. I can’t win. 🤣

I’ve seen a few too many trade proposals with Jordan Greenway as the centerpiece. Essentially, no one really cares about him, so let’s trade for every teams best player using him. Before anyone goes all “well actually” I know he’s not their best player but I think you get my point. No one is trading a prolific scorer for a PK specialist.

We have enough sissified players who don’t touch anyone and are allergic to defense. I’ll pass.

Yeah I’m not trusting my janky ass to install something that ensures the livelihood of me and my family.

So I’ve been going to the same mechanic for decades. Their family was neighbors of ours growing up. Their dad passed the shop down to his son who has run the shop for at least 20 years. I never had much of a problem with their service at all. The last couple of years have me wondering though. I got my brakes replaced 2-3 years ago, immediately as I drove off the lot they were squeaking. The next time in, I mentioned it. No word if there was an issue. So my truck is back in the shop, guess what inky needs new brakes. I realize brakes wear and need to be replace but I can’t help but feel like the last time they were replaced, the work was less than adequate (hence the squeaky brakes). He’s had somewhat of a revolving door with his help, leaving me to question the aptitude of his employees. I have no interest in going anywhere else. I trust him and his pricing is ideal. Maybe I’m overthink it.
