I'm talking about how the Pegulas act in general. Maybe it's just perception but they seem to skimp on a lot of the little things that make you wonder if it's a cash flow issue or sheer incompetence of their support staff.

But as Mike Schopp pointed out yesterday, the NHL really comes across as desperate for $$$. Like they need it. I'm guessing some of the cash poor owners do. Which makes me wonder about the Pegulas. I know they are worth 6 bill or whatever but they act like they are cash poor. Is it even a possibility? Or are they just like depression era kids who need to hoard and treat food as if it's the last meal they'll ever get.

I agree. I'd like to keep Dawson as a TE1A. Give me someone sure handed. Greg Olsen would have been ideal. Put him in on third down or goal line situations but use Knox more prolifically as a down the field threat.

The OL held up pretty well last year. I think they feel lineman 1-7 are on the roster. Duke Williams fits the big WR category, not sure why the org thinks of him. They sat him 75% of the season only to use him in the playoffs. ? I do think they like the TEs they have. Knox, Kroft, Sweeney, Croom, Smith (is he still on the roster). RB2 and a young edge are probably draft targets.

Back to the ol "the media made this team play bad" schtick. My problem with TC was that he couldn't stay healthy. I'm not sure how much blame to lay at his feet but there was much discussion about TC and his parents relationship with Larry Quinn. From what I've heard and read, Tim didn't do himself any favors with his off ice behavior. So much so, it probably had a large effect on his career and his reputation among the media. I don't need these guys to be choir boys, I'd actually prefer a few ingrates. When your first instinct when you aren't playing is to get inebriated, you probably need to reevaluate your priorities.

If you don't already work in scouting in some capacity, you really need to get a job doing it. No one should have this much emotional investment in something so distant.
