  1. I think the problem with the Bruins is that they don’t really have the assets to get it done. Pasternak or MacAvoy are going to have to be the centerpiece. Studnick (sp) looks like a decent second piece but after that. 🤷‍♂️ Draft picks I guess. They really don’t seem like the team ready for a deal. The Rags OTOH looked poised and an ideal match. As does LA.
  2. Awww, you used than correctly. Be still my beating heart. No one ever gets it right. Like not one poster. Ever. Drives me nuts.
  3. The problem is the Sabres created such a dearth of players like Will Borgen, that when we have only one player on the roster that comes close to doing the stuff he does, that player gets elevated several notches above where they should be. That being said, if they let him go, I may root for Seattle or wherever he ends up. He’s the only Sabre I’ve liked since Mike Peca.
  4. Yeah that was a little eye brow raising. I’ve advocated for Jack since the start but top 3?
  5. Like I said the cover up will be worse than the offense. So they basically fire a guy for doing what every one of them has done for a century. Nice look NHL. https://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/31127110/referee-tim-peel-banned-hot-mic-call-nashville-predators-penalty
  6. Too soon? He’ll be 26 in a few months. Are we giving prospects until 30 to prove themselves?
  7. That’s the fun of speculation and the rumor mill. You just get to make stuff up and it somehow constitutes a rumor. The credibility of a writer quoting a TV personality who has an unnamed source sounds legit to me!
  8. So you were prepared to lose Drury, Briere and Vanek in one offseason?
  9. I didn’t need any of this to know it’s a thing. I have 30 years of hockey viewing that already told me that. Non-story in my eyes. In typical NHL fashion, their cover up will be way worse than the offense.
  10. As we’ve seen to date, none of the cast of characters employed in the Sabres front office have a clue when it comes to evaluating players current or future. There are stats guys begging for these jobs and the Sabres rely on flawed, biased personnel to evaluate everyone. Figure it out Pegulas.
  11. I wish I had empirical data but I definitely heard Ralph wanted him and KA went and got him. Shame of Kevyn for not refuting the notion but maybe Ralph’s stick was bigger than his and he had no choice. By any metric, Eakin has always sucked. I don’t know why he keeps getting contracts. How many players have to come through Buffalo to prove out everything the metrics have indicated their whole careers. Please hire Chad Demonmetricstatschamacallit or someone like him to have 100% authority to funnel all player acquisitions through. It’s not that hard.
  12. I know Robert’s is a Pro Bowler but I never got the feeling he was going to break one. McKenzie OTOH always looks to be a missed tackle away from doing so. I’ll take Isiah in that role all day.
  13. Nothing on Eakin? He may be taking the title of worst NHL forward from Sobotka.
  14. Said no one ever. J/k @LGR4GM
  15. That’s what I’m talking about. Was Ralph coaching them to be pussies?
  16. Tage wut is you doing. Don’t make me like you.
  17. You still have PTSD from RJ’s oragasmic call of the tiniest of plays. RJ always calls the games creating a picture like a radio announcer. Dunleavy has always been a TV guy. Just offering suggestions from this group of pansies.
  18. Lazar, Staal and Miller can drop the gloves
  19. I mean I’m excited about the prospects of Hutton not playing but someone needs to light Gauthier up. I don’t care who was at fault.
  20. This has me like: Yes, I’m trying to drop this in the every thread possible. Ball slapping for everyone.
  21. He does have a great PP slapper
