Still discouraging as I haven’t heard the Sabres mentioned in any rumor, as fleeting as they may be.

It should go without saying but apparently needs to be said, the contract extension will have to be worked out prior to the trade. I figured this was understood by everyone as it’s exactly what 90% of teams do when trading for a player with an expiring contract.

I think trading Peterka and Byram should alleviate that

Agreed. Seems a little foolish to go that route. Maybe this is more insight into his decision making than his education level. He could have easily went to a Buffalo school or maybe get hooked up with Penn State though Pegula. Curious to say the least.

You can’t be shocked that the near Trillion dollar business (the NFL) is prioritized over the fledgling league that is the NHL. A business owner has to prioritize. Like most other business owners, he’s going to focus more on the one actually making money. The Sabres, at best, are a break even team. The Bills are a multi-billion dollar money printing machine.

A masters degree is not a prerequisite to being an NHL GM.

I’m glad our feckless loser players aren’t happy. You are a part of the problem. Sit out, demand a trade, play the way you have been since you became a Sabre. Make it so bad Pegula has to do something. Cancel the season. Fold the team. Good riddance.

So much so they won’t even fully vet the new owner or do any research to determine if that market would support an NHL team. The NHL is a cash poor league. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the owners rely on the the expansion fees to make a profit. Almost like a giant Ponzi scheme.

It’s a business. He can do what he wants with it. This sell the team nonsense sounds like a 4 year old’s response on how to fix things. Do fans think if they bitch enough to other Sabres fans on the internet it’s going to change things. You have to initiate real change. Don’t go to games. Don’t sign up for whatever streaming service you use to watch them. Don’t buy Sabres merch. Be the change. Standing in the corner pouting about things you have no control over is foolishness and childish.

Every wanna be GM was creaming in their jeans about Rossi. It quickly became the most tired thing on Sabres twitter. Quinn’s trajectory was higher but ultimately injuries and poor development have turned him into a mediocre NHL player at best. Glad you can lay one more I told you so at the feet of fans who just want someone or anyone to actually be good.

I know it’s the offseason and the players are just going through OTAs but the hype train has no chill.

I know why you say this with how the draft went down and how their careers have begun but Marco is much more of a certainty at this point and Mattias / Isak aren’t assets the Sabres need.

At this point, who cares. They’ve destroyed their fanbase’s passion for the team. I’m ready to root for the Mammoth.

Sigh. Not happening but how about a Quinn / Samuelsson / Rosen for Rossi+? He’s another dwarf (5’9”) but the Sabres could use a 60 point C as backup to Glass Norris.
