Here here. I think GMKA’s original plan was to have Ullmark return. When Boston offered Linus that contract, Adams punted. Considering we have UPL, Levi and Portillo waiting in the wings, I don’t blame him for that. His next plan was for UPL to take over the goaltending reigns. After a suboptimal preseason, that plan was quickly altered. Anderson became the main guy with Toker backing him up until UPL was ready. Not ideal but not disastrous. Then Anderson gets hurt, Toker goes down and we are in goalie hell. Hard to kill GMKA when plans A,B,C and D didn’t work out.

Since it’s Canada, they are just catching on to this look.

Apparently he’s going to be 30-40% better. This might be the dumbest thing I’ve ever read.

I honestly feel none of this. I’m enjoying the ride with the kids. I know most games will end in falter due to bad goaltending and inexperienced players. Seeing Tage, Dylan, Victor and now Casey all ascend their games now that they aren’t being stifled by a coach stuck in the 90s is refreshing. We know what the issues are. Get the kids some experience and goaltending and watch this team soar.

They called up UPL. Like most major sports, their policy and attitude toward COVID is suspect.

Based on my observations, Rasmus Dahlin is a super talented kid that can’t get out of his own head. He overthinks plays all the time. Ten times a game I’m wondering what the heck is trying to do. Five times a game I’m amazed at what he does on the ice. Flip that ratio and I’ll become a fan of his. Donnie needs to work his magic. I’m not sold that Meatballs can do that with defenseman. He certainly has the forwards humming. It’s hard to tell with such porous goaltending, how the D is performing. At least in their own zone.

I suspect him Mitts and Dahlin will all challenge for the teams leading scorer as the season winds down.

I think Donnie needs to get Kyle, Zemgus and Cody back together. They did a decent job defensively.

Agree with a lot of what dudacek has to say about JJ. He explodes into the offensive zone. Can absolutely snipe it from anywhere inside 25 feet. Needs to work on finishing breakaways. He’s missed a few this season but the good news is that he is getting breakaways nearly every game.
