I mean I’m all for it except he might allow a goal every time he’s on the ice. His talent is his violence. I don’t think the rest of his game is anywhere near where it needs to be. Otherwise, he’s a first round pick.

Agreed. Was it defense or goaltending? Not a loaded question. I know the analytics are out there but I’ve seen numbers indicating a goalie upgrade is necessary.

I like the guys they got. Whether or not it’s equal value is irrelevant to me. The team needed a culture change. Getting bad players (Dylan Cozens) or offense only allergic to defense players (Peterka) off the roster in exchange for engaged, physical players is a win in my book.

What a reality show it would be to have all access to the current state of affairs with Adams, Pegula and the lot. It would be spectacular.

Well…the leagues tries to make money at the draft. Their execution leaves a little to be desired. It’s pretty hard to sell a product that no one will have real access to for 3-5 years. After the top 5 or so picks, these guys will become nameless, faceless into the abyss that is hockey minor leagues, juniors or college. But hey check out our new just hitting puberty draft pick that may be a star or may never play in the league you are here supporting. The NFL is drafting grown men you’ll almost certainly see on Sunday’s in a few months. The NHL is like BYU or Russia. You’ll see your guy in 5 years, if he survives.
