  1. Not sold on Rosen? I think 1000% of the world agreed outside of his mom.
  2. Why does he need to explain it? Maybe to Terry but he doesn’t owe us anything.
  3. My issue with the Sabres wanting to be grittier and tougher to play against is they still have too many players that are extraordinarily easy to play against. Power, Samuelsson, Quinn to name a few. Follow through on your vision, move every pansy ass player out the door. Adam’s not even considering buying out Mattias is criminal behavior.
  4. He always says that
  5. Yeah I’m aware. I still think they aren’t adding payroll intentionally.
  6. It seems like every day is his first day on the job. Just no sense of direction or purpose. From the little I’ve gleaned from the Sabres this offseason, “hard to play against” seems to be the mantra. Kesselring and Doan are an upgrade in that department but they aren’t exactly Chara and Lucic. Danforth and Timmons I suppose also fall into the same category. It just doesn’t seem like Adams fully understands his own guidance. Maybe there weren’t a lot of options. As I stated previously (god only knows what thread it’s in), it isn’t hard to build a team WNY loves. Get hard working grinders all throughout your lineup. Guys that hit, fight and stick up for teammates. Sprinkle your Tages and Dahlins into the lineup for high end skill but stay true to the plan. Get players that play the game the right way. Instead they just keep taking huge swings for the fence with draft picks like Kisakov. I know they have rectified the type of players they are drafting but unfortunately we are stuck with the results of drafts from 5 years ago. Soft skill players. It’s changing but players like Power and Quinn shouldn’t be a part of the solution. They are the opposite of what they should roster.
  7. I’m more inclined to believe they are trimming the budget per Terry’s direction.
  8. No he’s barely shown anything to date. Maybe he plays out like Mark Pysyk. Nothing flashy but does what the job requires.
  9. Are Ryan Johnson & Zac Jones ahead of him on the depth chart? It seems that way.
  10. That being said, if the Sabres would just bring in a couple of these guys to police the ice, the fans would melt. This franchise abandoned what the blue collar folks of WNY love. Old fashion grit. Hit, fight, stick up for teammates. It’s not difficult to please the masses of WNY. Bring the violence that western Canadian teams have in droves. Also the Stanley Cup champs.
  11. To be fair, the AHL is still a little more old school with aging young vets trying to do anything they can to make an NHL roster and win games. They tear through the skill guys like tissue paper. Now they have Joshua and Geertsen. Syracuse and Laval can ***** the ***** off.
  12. I’ve been thinking the same thing. As their styles, which are extremely ordinary in the NHL, are somewhat foreign to our group of snipers and danglers, will stand out amongst the passengers. They are engaged, intense and willing to do what is necessary to win.
  13. I mean they finally have a bottom six homegrown player who fills a role they need. I doubt any coach would have a problem with Kozak in their lineup. I wish he was a tad bigger but he’s no midget.
  14. It looks like the only thing Sabres fans have left is hoping this materializes into something worth getting excited about.
  15. I can’t complain too much about the signing but god does it seem like the Sabres are acting like broke mofos.
  16. You do realize this happens every off season. They NEED to sign guys for the AHL. And every off season, the same people act like complete rubes when it happens.
  17. The thinking is the return fo Bo would be that perceived void of offense.
  18. I haven’t seen much to get me terribly excited about RyJo’s game. I guess he’s a cheap depth defender. Doesn’t bring size, toughness or an appreciable amount of offense. Definitely not in the mold of the D acquired last week.
  19. I try to remind people as often as I can, you don’t need to be smart to become rich. Usually you have to be a ruthless conniving evil SOB, Terry just seemed to be the beneficiary of owning land that had natural resources and leveraged that into $$$. Not because he was shrewd but because the industry was just handing out millions to people.
  20. Yeah. This is embarrassing and shines a light on what Terry is really concerned about. Perception. Not reality.
  21. Paul Hamilton just confirmed the 2nd round pick wasn’t traded exclusively for JBD. Dennis Gilbert was the piece included for JBD. Take it for what it’s worth.
  22. Yeah I’ve been thinking about this. Is JBD too small for Kevyn's narrow minded view on hockey players. He’s shifted from all offense to all giants. I mean whatever. My biggest problem is that most of the D aren’t overly physical. Did he forget that part of the equation?
  23. Kidnappers. That’s what it would take.
  24. I forget not everyone is hard wired into the interwebs like myself. I thought this info was essentially fact that everyone was aware of.
  25. And I think 75% of Sabres fans will hate it
