  1. I ain’t clicking on it. I refuse to give that website any traffic. ***** them.
  2. Listing the players out like this really highlights the issue. Power and Samuelsson. You can’t have two 6’5”+ defenseman that don’t touch anyone, especially in Mattias case where he brings no offense or puck moving ability. What is he good at? ***** if I know. The offseason should have been about finding an Elite more established, physical player to swap for Power, instead we are looking to move Byram, a player who does occasionally hit people.
  3. There probably is something to this. It’s the same as any workplace I suppose. If management isn’t fully committed, why the hell should the employees (players) express that level of commitment. This is depressing…
  4. In order to have a pack mentality, you need a pack. I haven’t gotten the feeling these guys are a pack. They are more like a flock looking for their shepherd. They needed to draft and develop guys with that mentality. They didn’t for far too long. They have made some improvements but it still feels like they are leaning toward a skill lineup. You need players that do have that pack mentality. I don’t really see it with the current roster. Kesselring and Doan are a slight improvement in that direction but I still feel there are too many players like Quinn & Samuelsson, who play as if physical contact is a foreign concept.
  5. Understood. I guess I’d need to know what all the options were to understand if Adams has any idea what he’s doing.
  6. Yeah I’d like to see a young D prospect and probably draft picks. I think the Sabres are doing them a bit of a favor.
  7. Depends on the leverage the player is looking for
  8. They didn’t sign him to be anything more than a minor league plug.
  9. Except they are immediately deviating from the path. If you want to be harder to play against, bringing in 4 bottom of the roster players ain’t gonna cut it. They need guys that are going to log serious minutes to be the worst humans you’ve ever met. Booger Sugar Quinn and my dad was also a large soft player Samuelsson are the problem. Get these passengers off the team.
  10. If Samuelsson gets top 4 minutes, just fold the franchise. Clifton was better FFS. JBD was better. Kale freaking Clague may have been better. Everyone who has played D for the Sabres since Samuelsson’s arrival has been better minus Jacob Bryson.
  11. Pretty much a big whiff as a 1st round draft pick. I know not all of them hit but every Sabres twitter jackwad was pouting like an insolent child after the pick and they were right making this even less enjoyable. I didn’t know anything about him but quickly came to the conclusion that he wasn’t anything they needed and was a reach by the every measure. Draft guys that don’t look like the league will be too much for them and run them over immdialty. See Jiri Kulich or Konsta Helenius. They’ve already shown they can hang with the pros and possibly excel. Drafting waify kids who have no chance of competing has to be something we can rely on my the scouts and GM.
  12. Not sold on Rosen? I think 1000% of the world agreed outside of his mom.
  13. Why does he need to explain it? Maybe to Terry but he doesn’t owe us anything.
  14. My issue with the Sabres wanting to be grittier and tougher to play against is they still have too many players that are extraordinarily easy to play against. Power, Samuelsson, Quinn to name a few. Follow through on your vision, move every pansy ass player out the door. Adam’s not even considering buying out Mattias is criminal behavior.
  15. He always says that
  16. Yeah I’m aware. I still think they aren’t adding payroll intentionally.
  17. It seems like every day is his first day on the job. Just no sense of direction or purpose. From the little I’ve gleaned from the Sabres this offseason, “hard to play against” seems to be the mantra. Kesselring and Doan are an upgrade in that department but they aren’t exactly Chara and Lucic. Danforth and Timmons I suppose also fall into the same category. It just doesn’t seem like Adams fully understands his own guidance. Maybe there weren’t a lot of options. As I stated previously (god only knows what thread it’s in), it isn’t hard to build a team WNY loves. Get hard working grinders all throughout your lineup. Guys that hit, fight and stick up for teammates. Sprinkle your Tages and Dahlins into the lineup for high end skill but stay true to the plan. Get players that play the game the right way. Instead they just keep taking huge swings for the fence with draft picks like Kisakov. I know they have rectified the type of players they are drafting but unfortunately we are stuck with the results of drafts from 5 years ago. Soft skill players. It’s changing but players like Power and Quinn shouldn’t be a part of the solution. They are the opposite of what they should roster.
  18. I’m more inclined to believe they are trimming the budget per Terry’s direction.
  19. No he’s barely shown anything to date. Maybe he plays out like Mark Pysyk. Nothing flashy but does what the job requires.
  20. Are Ryan Johnson & Zac Jones ahead of him on the depth chart? It seems that way.
