Yes. At this point NE is the best team .And fortunately the 2nd best team-INDY-Just lost to TB so they may not get in cuz of their slow start. I think the Bills -esp Josh--Need to play a very disciplined game to have a chance vs NE . BB takes not greatly talented QBs and trains them fresh out of college before they develope bad habits. And turns them into QBing machines.

Is Don Granato the best coach the Sabres have had since Lindy Ruff?

I see Mitts as a 15 20 man. Skilled but not very athletic. -
last yr is what i was referring to

I would exchange 'win' for 'be competitive'.. To me Krebs has the highest ceiling. Tuch is really solid. Mitts---I hope so but not sure what people see in him. -
Knox is the kinda guy the fans love. Comes into the league.Cant catch but rumbles down the field like a freight train when he does hang onto it. He works his butt off the next offseason and the receiving skills improve a lot. And he knocks people over like Larry Czonka used to.

NO beat TB at home.Yes there are injuries. But this is not a bad team. Bills deserve some credit .

OK..some progress. The D was good. The offense was at least getting quicker releases from Josh overall..and running on a consistent level(frequency)-enough to keep the D honest. back to basics was helpful. PS--the saints are not a bad team

...You may have a point with the not enough balls to go around...-But Sanders is a helluva receiver. I think the problem is not about RBs and WRs. I think the problem is coaching/ and JAs lack of development this year.

I agree--and would add that the hiring good people is the toughest thing. -

right down the road in pittsburgh they have consistent yr after yr hockey and football. they do things the right way.Pegula needs to study those teams. Its going on 10 yrs now?/ longer? Ultimately its his decisions that are important. -
Buffalo Bills football always turns to crud in the end. After all the enthusiasm and high 5s and blowouts of bad teams the past couple of years. One good rule is to not take the 1st half of the season too seriously cuz things change fast. And Houston goes into TENN..

mr peterman....nahh not fair
-
Overall you cant blame our D for this season. Its 90% on the offense. One bad game out of 10 does not make the D the problem. And lets face it the O handed indy a lot of points.

JA..great guy..great athlete...ok leader...but very confused out there.
-
that thing i said earlier about the bills being equal to the pats....nevermind
-
when u throw the ball away it also stops the clock Josh
-
And there are no dolphins and jets left to blow out...or do we have another jets game left...hmm
-
which is why i made the adjustment to say that their skills MAY be slightly less than todays players.Doesnt mean i didnt think they were skilled. When players fought for the puck in the corners or went in on goal vs Korab or schoeny they very quickly became less skilled when they knew they were gonna be battered and bruised.Same thing would be a factor in today's game.
-
Korab and Schoenfeld--neither of them great skill guys. But they were as tough as it gets. Each of them easily 220 and fearless. Other team went into our corner with fear..and that messed up their game. So i would take a halfway decent puckhandler who is an enforcer vs a better puckhandler who is soft and gets pushed around.

I think in theory(talentwise)we are the better team. But losing to TENN and PITT(Jax I will consider an anomaly) shows a disturbing trend consisting of JA playing at a B- level and our coaches not being at Belichek level. Those are all part of what defines the level of the team. And even the 'best of the Bills'-consisting of the ability to blow out bad teams-Is now being matched by NE. Superior coaching makes NE equal to us at this point.
-
Well--I was hoping we might have a few yrs of being better than NE after getting schooled and humiliated for 20+ yrs. No such luck. NE is every bit as good as Buffalo right now. ..Lets hope for a split.
