Sabres Trade Alex Nylander to Chicago for D Man Henri Jokiharju
Neo replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Richard Family Picnic: Henri: ”I’m in the Hall of Fame, have 11 Stanley Cups, 9 All Star games, 4 All Star teams, The Masterson, and am listed on the NHL’s 100 Greatest Players of all time list”. Third cousin, a mailman in Laval: ”So?” Maurice: “Hold my beer.” -

I have this feeling. “This is how an MBA builds a business”. Small, patient, moves, each accretive, like firms adding geography and product lines to fold into the existing infrastructure. I was excited by the swing for the fences GMTM approach. ZFG! I’m feeling more comfortable with GMJB’s singles and doubles after watching so many four hundred footers die on the warning track.- 607 replies

Can you imagine Willie Gault’s stats if he got MORE power play time? -
Very, very, cool ... I’d love to hear more about Twain in Buffalo. PS ... Take The Buffalo River tour. What a great 90 minutes. I learned so much ... I THOUGHT I already knew so much. Buffalo is a very special place.

Wow, this language! Turkulainen NHL-tähti ajoi tuplasti sallittua nopeutta. Turkulainen NHL-tähti Rasmus Ristolainen on tuomittu Varsinais-Suomen käräjäoikeudessa törkeästä liikenneturvallisuuden vaarantamisesta. Ristolainen, 24, ajoi 3. toukokuuta 81 kilometrin tuntivauhtia Turun keskustassa Linnankadulla, jossa nopeusrajoitus on 40 km/h.

Still cash only, but there’s an ATM inside. Mark Twain is said to have had a meal or two at the Swannie during his Buffalo stay. He certainly knew the neighborhood, the First Ward longshoremen, and the vibe.

I am in Hamburg, N.Y., sitting on the back porch of a family farm. I was married here 34 years ago, Saturday. I just finished steak and chicken kabobs, red potatoes, cantaloupe, melon and strawberries. Half of the four NeoEttes are with me, along with a MrsNeo and a daughter-in-law. A third NeoEtte is on his way. I played with five, yes five, grandkids, including twins I’m holding for the first time. A half a dozen birds are calling to one another, far above me, in a fifty year old majestic Maple Tree. My in-laws have shared this magical ten acres with God since 1850. Farmers. I proposed to MrsNeo here, under a full moon, in a cornfield, nearly 36 years ago. I spent an hour, that night, with my wife’s dad before inviting my wife to take a walk. He gave me permission and blessing. “Mom and Dad” are sitting with us, right here, right now. They’re 88 and 82, and they worked all day. I know no one as gracefully and graciously happy as they are. Some “Fourth of July” Eve fireworks are popping in the air. Some are close by. The others, perhaps, are in Orchard Park. Somethings never change. Tomorrow is a Buffalo River Tour, then a backyard picnic. We’ll find fireworks in the evening. Three days of friends and cousins and enjoying this great outdoors. We’ll close with two nights and three days at the Prince of Wales in Niagara on the Lake. Flowers, the River, and Papa Cocktails in the Churchill Lounge.

The world has passed me by. A few years ago, a friend and I watched some World Cup Soccer. He is among the learned and shared his knowledge. It was awesome. I now peek in, from time to time, to watch a sport that used to make me yawn. Awesome .. I watched the US Women, today. At a tiki bar. On Casey Key. With big tasty drinks. Near Dolphins. In the sun. Life’s good. I wanted to see joy. I’d seen video of choreographed celebrations in 13-0 wins over Thailand. Yes, Thailand. I’d read about f-bombs dropped and the Presidency dissed. I know, I know, every event’s a movement and every utterance is an insight. Today, I watched Ms. Morgan mimic tea sipping, unaware that she’d created joy, herself, and needn’t strip any from her opponent in order to feel good. I feel bad for her. I’m yawning, again. I thought back to the Miracle on Ice team after the final buzzer in Lake Placid. The world was no prettier, or easier, then. I really liked those young men. I liked the Soviets, too, as they patiently waited for the celebration to end so they could shake hands and honor the victors. I was born a long time ago. I’m glad.

Should Pi’s destiny be Heaven, he will find himself gliding over perfect ice playing the game he loves with former NHLers and the heroes of his youth. Should Pi’s destiny be Hell, he will find himself centering Vesey and Matthews.

A few days have passed. I’m thinking of Hickey’s human reaction. “Yeah, I made an impression stopping and dropping the top prospect”, or “Oh, no, I’m a distant third cousin who just crashed the family’s new Corvette at the family picnic.”

Glad to see another poster ... welcome.

I’m getting it, now.

I regularly confess to being not among the learned. That said, I’m spreading my wings and welcoming critique. Vancouver isn’t in cap trouble, Pettersson’s not going anywhere, and Horvat’s on a nice contract for four more seasons. Other than for a 2C, why move Risto unless you stumble into some other positional fleecing? How are these two teams trading parners?

I really liked him his draft year ...
