Yay, LA. Good game. Some questionable no-icing calls toward the end, but really, the loud fans did their part because the players couldn't hear it called off.
1979 lingers on here in WNY...I can name several places that make the subs old school, right down to the wax paper and masking tape. You guys need to get out more.
Are the Penguins fans booing their team?
Goodness, the fans are booing the Pens. They are clearly to blame for this clusterf@&k.
Ference isn't that big, but look at him clearing out players from in front of Rask.
Precisely. The so-called rivalry with Boston means nothing when each rival can own your team on many levels. How many rivalries do the Sabres have? Oh, the entire NHL. Weeeee.....
Rask is amazingly calm in net.
Anyone want to blame the Pen fans? They've been quiet all period. Isn't it their fault they didn't cheer their team to victory?
As much as I dislike Boston, I get great pleasure watching the face of the NHL throw childish fits while he, Malkin and the other "talent" get schooled.
Detroit versus LA will make a gritty series. Babcock clearly has the ear of his team, making up for the talent gap between them and Chicago.
Yes, this looks like a game where Detroit will win by sticking with the game plan.
LA has the best home atmosphere of all the playoff teams. The fans are consistently "up" for the games.
Also, IMHO either the Sharks or the Kings would beat Chicago in the next round, but I still prefer LA.
So, you don't think the Rangers can hang? I was hoping it would be a good series, especially now after seeing how the Ottawa series will go. I have to admit I haven't watched NY enough to get a handle on how they match up with Boston.
It looked to me like the Pens were playing down to Ottawa and could have given it more if they needed to. I don't know what the hell was up with Ottawa...they were being to respectful I think.
