Chill out. That comment was for anyone who is concerned the Sabres may be dealing away depth at D.
-
The Sabres are likely to reload D prospects over the next few drafts anyway. I like the move.
-
Agreed. I think Nolan would want everyone on the ice, and I think the players want to proceed as "normal" as well.
-
I like Nolan, but after his pressers since this weekend, and the last presser with GMTM, and, frankly, two Blues games, I don't know if I want him to coach the Sabres anymore. This morning's interview on WGR was a tiny bit better, but he sets the tone of the team. Look how frickin' happy Miller has seemed the past several days. If Nolan is going to walk around with his heart on his sleeve the rest of the week, to me that's too long. These players don't need a mirror of their emotions right now, they need someone to show them how to steel up and face adversity with confidence. Don't know...I'm still thinking this one through, I dig that it's been crazy for him and the team. As he says "it's been tough..." but he needs to snap out of it pronto or I really don't think he should make it past this year. All he is doing right now, to me, is reversing the gains he and PLF may have made in "changing the culture".

"Increasingly Substantiated BS" rumor thread- 2014 Edition

I can see the Stars maybe sniffing around Halak. -
5'6" 170 lbs.

The Bolts had no chance 6 on 5 and their goalie pulled. I can see why Roy's name is in the trade rumor mill. On the other hand, once Ott and Miller settle in and get comfortable, the Blues will be that much more fun to watch. I don't think Ott is on the correct line...but we'll see.
-
They don't quit. Miller found himself a nice team.
-
You need to go back to worrying whether the Sabres are going to pick up Conacher.
-
The crowd there really woke up.

Confused on where everyone is going for Blues games...this one is interesting.

Oshie, nice!

He can pretend. That would make it funny. -
Such a simple thing, but I like how every player on the Blues will extend their stick and attempt to get the puck if it doesn't come right to them. The Sabres drive me crazy when they don't do that.

Da, da, da, da, something, something, Captain Kirk...

Zing! -
Yikes, not a good first period at home for Miller.
-
With all due respect, I don't think you read the thread and understood the context. If you could point out, say, where anyone cited mental problems or drinking as THE reason this occurred, then you can say what you said and be fair doing so. However, no one declared those as the reason for PLF's departure, and, especially the drinking, wasn't even proposed as a possibility; that was just an example of trying to find other reasons for the departure. But I wonder why we, in your world, can be "disgraceful" in discussing the parameters within which the PLF departure occurred as a manner or course, but PLF can not be similarly human and be the sole reason for having to depart.

Oh boy, great thought. I hope SDS has backed up the server. -
You better shoot an email over to John Kerry. I'm sure he'll get back to you.

The "helping" in the desert could have been a lot more productive if our people were willing to go along with it. But, instead, we wasted resources and national spirit there. With modern militaries, countries can fall in days, rather than months or years, if the attacker is serious. So, you can lose all of Eastern Europe within a month. Do we want that to happen? Granted, with the war technologies we do have, the loss of American lives, once we decide to do something about it, could be less in localized warfare than it was in WWII or Vietnam. But, there are no guarantees any battles with the reforming USSR would remain a continent away.

I'm just glad one of my vehicles has a carburetor.
