  1. The pervading side-story of this draft cycle is that big, RHD are difficult to come by. Okay, so Adams is stocking up on RHD. They are assets. We put the best one on the roster and the rest can be used any other way you'd use a desirable asset. It's Adams, but objectively the strategy is sound.
  2. You know, these moves that some are positioning as being cheap could very well be a means to clear space to offer a big contract. Let's keep in mind the entire Palm Trees narrative - the Sabres have dug themselves such a performance hole that they need to offer above top dollar to draw people in. I know that the popular sentiment right now is that Buffalo is cheap, and I hate to be one of those people who say "let's wait and see" but, as Camus advocated, we must rebel against life's absurdities and purposely adopt a tone of optimism.
  3. You don't contribute to offensive production like that unless you're hard to play against. I wonder why he's bounced around the league. Seems Pittsburgh fans are mixed on the trade, although those who like it clearly don't know Clifton. I was looking for examples of hard-to-play against, but didn't find any examples in my quick search. I'll share the highlights, though.
  4. Depends on your worldview. Darth Vader was not Luke's father because Darth killed Anakin - by his (Darth's) own admission - until he (Darth) decided he was still Anakin afterall, thereby resurrecting himself and casting aside Darth. So, the entity that referred to itself as "Darth Vader" was the father to no one, not even Luke, but his prior form, Anakin Skywalker, was...or is.
  5. You're assuming that I've been glued here for the past day and half going through a public coping exercise with the rest of y'all. Do we need to attach examples from across the internet, within the time-span of 11:51 PM · Jun 25, 2025 to 12:00 PM · Jun 26, 2025 that demonstrate the initial reaction was definitely not " overwhelmingly positive"? If people are into it now, why not just say "Why, yes, ..., we generally seem to have accepted the value of the return given the condition of the team and the market. Thanks for asking/checking in/caring!"
  6. That would be why they traded for him and his contract extension.
  7. I'm a big believer in character and chemistry and the Panthers are an excellent illustration of how that works. Reinhart wouldn't be the player he is today on Buffalo. The Rat King just fit into that environment like he went home. JJP wasn't a fit here. Okay. There are others still here who don't fit, either. These two new guys seem like good kids, and they've had to work and be patient in earning their opportunities. The value of that is always immeasurable but evident if, or once, the pieces fall into place. If they work out then people will proclaim that Adams finally figured it out and, while we all suffered while he learned on the job, they are happy with the results.
  8. I do not get the persistent panting over Rossi here. Scoring is not an issue and there is no doubt the up-and-comers on the team will fill the scoring gap the Sabres lost by trading a one-and-half-dimensional Peterka. We needed a top 4 RHD. We still need "character" guys with talent and enough discipline that they're not f%^king off when they should be focused on winning. Did we not watch the playoffs this year? Who on the Sabres would be a fit on Florida's roster?
  9. Now that we've had some time to collect ourselves, is Sabrespace undervaluing big, RHD-defensemen who can put up a few points? I find the argument (that big, RHD-defensemen who can put up a few points have more value) compelling. I mean, I am loath to give Adams credit, but, again, the argument is compelling.
  10. We trash the Norris trade because, while Cozens does suck (like Mitts), he had value (a little more than Mitts), and we got a broken horse in return.
  11. That's only 1 for 3 right now. The Cozens/Norris swap is still TBD - because Norris has an injury history. Are there metrics on durability, btw?
  12. You're right: I don't. But, Kehvyn Ahdahms just did. Yooooùuurrr Buff-alo Say-burrrrs!
  13. Some of you are going to have to admit that this trade looks bad because the purpose of it was to deliver a partner for Power. Power is the poster-child of the problems this roster has.
  14. The penny-pinching isn't just confined to the roster. It's pretty obvious they won't even pay for an AI subscription to help with their content.
  15. OMG. You people are way too serious.
  16. Do you mean Sam Bennett is the best player in the league now?
  17. Good on Bob! A nice Catholic boy.
  18. Social media is not being kind to McDavid.
  19. Offsetting penalties?
  20. Kane = bonehead.
