The PP was good. They were effectively on a PK the last 5 minutes of the game against a good team and won. This was a solid game all around.

Really? I must have missed it. I saw a guy playing too tentatively. Also saw Power put in no effort to try and stop the second Stars goal.

Now we know they can do it. Have to give Krebs credit for a nice game.

Two gripes: Power sucks at defense. Cozens needs to finish his checks; he's such a wuss. With that out of the way... That was a solid, competent period from the Sabres. Even the PP looked very good. Best period of the year so far? One more period like the last two and they park this car with ease.

The Sabres are still playing cutsie hockey: one too many passes, dumping it in, not going for the net. They really need the fire-and-brimstone Lindy but that guy may not exist anymore.

I'm not stunned, because they're earned the low attendance, but somebody in charge ought to be upset by it.

That was a good period for the Sabres. The refs missed a trip that would have put them on the PP then turn around and call Dahlin for one minutes later.

If only he could play defense he'd be a decent mid-rounder.

His demeanor seemed similar or worse than what it was during the last few post-game interviews before he was fired years ago.

We can't talk about his team in realistic terms without using meaningless euphemisms.

We're half-way through the 10 game grace period. My patience is extremely short, like everyone else, but my brain says that we have to allow the boys time to adjust to Lindy. We have to remember that the prior two coaches were Donny Meatballs and Ralph "The Fraud" Krueger, neither of whom had any idea what it takes to win in the NHL.

Well, at least we get a point if nothing else. It's better than nothing. Maybe we get two.

Uhm, no to all of that. He has not played here like he has the past two games before the last two games. If he thrives under Ruff and plays like we've seen very recently with consistency then an extension might be a worthwhile conversation.
