Trades are always part of the game - not that many ever happen - but there will be the standard waiting periods and approvals. Everyone's loving the Gold right now - going to be tough to get y'all in! Once again - can't tell you the exact rules until we see what yahoo gives us this year. They always tweak things a bit.

I have no list yet. I can't start inviting people to join until yahoo gets their system up for 2011 and I set up the leagues. But since everyone is so excited this year: SabreSpaceBlue will be the free wheeling league - lots of roster changes allowed. SabreSpaceGold will be the very strict league - draft your team and pretty much stick with it. Each league will max at 16 teams if the interest is strong enough - I can reduce as needed. Last years players in good standing always get priority to join first. I'll make the Gold league an 8 team league with all 8 making the playoffs. Oh wait - that isn't strict. I'll only have the top 2 teams make the playoffs.

Maybe Chz could you merge the other fantasy hockey thread into this one? So as I mentioned in that thread - for 2011 I plan to have the SabreSpaceBlue league again on yahoo. I also plan to start up the SabreSpaceGold league. Blue will continue to be the league for people who like to do a lot of player changing to take advantage of the FAs. Gold will be the very limited player change league - move of pick up a player when someone on your team is placed on IR type league. We'll see what the categories will look like a bit in the future when yahoo gets 2011 set up. But each will only be a tweaking of the 2010 Blue - emphasizing scoring (around 75%) over goaltending (around 25%).

Just for fun - yes. But we hate it when people draft a team and then never do anything all season. Gotta commit to a little time each week to make sure your team is set.

I've run it the last couple years and plan to continue it again this year. SabreSpaceBlue is a just for fun type league on yahoo. I was just thinking about it today. I'll comment in the thread for it sometime this week - asking for opinions and such.
