  1. :) Beat me to it.
  2. John Vogl ‏@BuffNewsVogl Under the NHL's proposal, the players' salaries will rise 23.6 percent over the life of the CBA.
  3. Plain and simple - it is now in the NHLPAs court to come up with a truly decent counter proposal. In this 2 second opinion sound byte media world we live in; the league has made major concessions and now the PA needs to show their good faith.
  4. Agree - always need some compromise points.
  5. Rochester Americans ‏@AmerksHockey Enter to win (4) glass seat tix to the #Amerks home game this Friday night! Quick, simple, no purchase necessary >> http://bit.ly/Wim6O1
  6. I'll put my 5000th post of the current era here. Maybe we'll have a draft this year. Keep your fingers crossed.
  7. Looks like the entry level would actually be remaining at 3 years under the new proposal based on updated reports. So that is a better deal for the NHLPA on that front.
  8. Don't think the NHLPA will like that part.
  9. In terms of quality play - a shorter season should always be the case. But the NHL & NHLPA would both expect the same amount of money so individual ticket prices would have to increase to match current levels.
  10. Greg Wyshynski ‏@wyshynski @JSportsnet w/ details: UFA at 28 yrs/8yrs in NHL; entry level deals = 4 years; long-term contracts capped at 5 yrs.; still have arbitration
  11. So the offer might allow the current players to keep all the money in their current contracts? Darren Dreger ‏@DarrenDreger NHL intends on calculating lost salary in getting to 50-50 and will pay the players back over time. The payback to the players would occur over the balance of their contracts.
  12. Could this be a perk being offered the NHLPA? More players making NHL salaries. Spector's Hockey ‏@SpectorsHockey Speculation NHL could announce expansion franchises in Quebec City & Toronto after new CBA deal implemented? Relocation, not expansion! ----------------------------- Another Terry Pegula bonus, while other teams are reducing workers salaries. Spence Timkey ‏@its_me_spence @Buccigross beauty of @BuffaloSabres -- Terry Pegula keeping everyone on full time. buddy who works there says morale is still high ------------------------------ At least the NHL made an offer - a slight glimmer of saving the season? Pierre LeBrun ‏@Real_ESPNLeBrun Bettman says offer contingent on having 82-game season which would begin Nov 2. Says league offered 50/50 share of HRR
  13. But isn't this all the general public or at least the 'undecideds' care about nowadays? So and so 'looked presidential' during the debate. Ryan looks compassionate cleaning those clean pots.
  14. Chuck Yeager breaks sound barrier again, 65 years after historic flight http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/chuck-yeager-breaks-sound-barrier-article-1.1183654
  15. Just outsource those 5 jobs to India or China and then there won't be anyone in your garage who might want to beat you up. Then your profits will go up since you can pay your employees even less. Then you can trickle down some of those profits by hiring another couple people in China or India.
  16. Don Cherry ‏@CoachsCornerCBC I see Guy Lafleur spoke out about the Europeans who might like to stay in the KHL. He said "let them stay there. It will make more room for the players from Quebec and North America. As a supporter and former player I do not care for players who want to stay in Europe. Let them"
  17. Chris Brown ‏@ChrisBrownBills Bills wearing blue pants http://wp.me/plmrg-6zE
  18. You make over 250K? Sweet - good for you! Just like a woman - trying to bring common sense into a political discussion.
  19. He's going to break out to be the next Danny Briere of course.
  20. Paul Ryan is going to finish the debate in 75 minutes.
  21. Maybe it will taste like tuna.
  22. Looks like he may have tripped over one of those chickens Also Mark Anderson just had knee surgery and is out indefinitely. :( From Bills site: Bills C Eric Wood was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday’s injury report. Here’s the full list for the Bills. Did not practice DT Kyle Williams – ankle OL Kraig Urbik – ankle OL Cordy Glenn – ankle DE Mark Anderson – knee DL Spencer Johnson – ankle Limited in practice C Eric Wood – foot S Jairus Byrd – chest Full practice DE Mario Williams – wrist CB Aaron Williams – hand
  23. Yahoo finally got smart like Vanek-Man. Resolution Yahoo! Sports is closely monitoring the NHL lockout. For now, however, we will continue with allowing managers to create, join and draft leagues. Until the NHL lockout ends, we will be adding more drafts on a weekly basis. If you would like to ensure your league does not draft until the lockout is over, you can change your league's draft type to offline and switch back to a live draft once the lockout ends.
  24. Obviously they are impressed by what Grigorenko has done.
  25. I'm looking forward to watching the front 4 of the Bills D this next game. The Rams front 4 were decimating the Cardinals line when they played. This will be a good test to see how really bad the Bills front 4 are.
