That is a sucky thing to have happen.

I guess most folks over here are letting the few mistakes go. But I'm still over on the other side with Sekera. Overall he is playing an OK game but his mistakes tend to cause bad outcomes. Maybe Lindy should test out his faceoff skills - then he could put him on the 4th O line and when he makes one of those plays that would create a scoring chance for the opponent there will still be the 2 Dmen back to prevent it.

For those commenting on my comment about Sekera - obviously I haven't been as impressed by him so far this season as you have. He is tied with my favorite forward, Stafford, with the worse +/-. I've seen some plays I haven't liked from him. I didn't like his coverage on the empty net goal.

With Regehr injured - more reason to keep Sulzer in and play 7 D.

I might think about sending him down if the Sabres traded for a established center. But then if that happened I wouldn't send him down because I'd want him to learn from that center.

I'm on at least year 4 of the trade Stafford side. I think Lindy should dress all 8 defensemen next game. Take your pick with which forwards to sit.

Does that mean we can expect the Sabres to be shut out? If Vanek is healthy enough to play then I would sit Grigorenko for the next 3 games - just give him a week for practice where he can show what he can do on the offensive front and then have him come back against the Canadians in Montreal.

Chara didn't really become 'Chara' until what - after he was traded to Ottawa? So that was his 5th year. Maybe he was near that level his 4th year. Probably just another mistake by Ruff trying to make Myers the #1 dman on the team so soon.

If all these critics were watching the 3rd period of that Edm-LA game they might not be so harsh. The atmosphere leading up to the goal that was taken away was electric and it only got more so after the overturned goal. It was a game 7 playoff atmosphere after that call (which I believe was wrong). That was hockey at its best and everyone in the league should be striving to reach that intensity on and off the ice.

I didn't want to not run Blue - easier to have it exist in some form so next season will be easier. So I just locked the teams that didn't delete themselves and did an autodraft. I'll unlock the teams if y'all want to have fun with your teams.
