Yes, he had a good game and was perhaps our best player on the ice. Kudos to Casey.
Now, have another, then another, and another, and another, and another …
Id that’s the case, then it’s on Donnie G to step up his game.
When he proves it to be more the rule rather than the exception, I’ll be first in line to give him credit. Until then, he had a good game for the first time in a long time, nothing more.
I doubt any team is fooled by his once in a few months good game. They know the book on Casey and I doubt the Yotes would be demanding him as part of any deal. Maybe as a throw in perhaps.
Yeah, we’ve been saying that about Casey and Co. for a long time as well. I’ll need to see a good six game stretch like tonight before I can get excited.
Say what you want about our goaltending, our lack of D depth, or any other aspect of this team, our biggest problem is stupidity. Our stupidity lost us this game. Full stop.
I was strictly speaking of our comparison to the Penguins so perhaps I misunderstood your post. Its easy to see how much better the Pens are than CBus.
Were you of that opinion when we were handing them their ***** the first two periods. We got away from the game we were playing earlier while the Penguins found theirs.
How many times do we say that about him each year? If he gets hot for a week, great and good for us. But I’d have to see a 6 game stretch like that before I’d be even close to convinced he’s turned the corner.
That said, he atoned nicely for the bonehead penalty with a couple beautiful plays. I’m sincerely happy for him and VO. Nobody needed it more.
