I’d like to believe that, but how many times have we been there this season? We’ve seen them be engaged physically and mentally in several games and against the best teams in the league to boot only to see them screw the pooch in following games(s). I appreciate the offensive explosion as much as anyone, but we are woefully deficient on the back end and Levi is showing his own struggles with consistency as well. I refuse to believe they will turn a corner until they actually turn a corner.

I am not fooled in the least by tonight’s performance. Their flaws are on full display tonight. But it’s nice to run in to a team with worse goaltending than ours.

I’ve seen enough if Levi as he has forgotten how to play the position. He’s turned into a goalie spaz. We are so screwed at the goalie position for the foreseeable future.

Per the bold, much of the talent acquired by those great Bills teams was because they sucked in the early-mid 80s and they had more premium picks in the draft as a result whereas Josh has been at a disadvantage in that regard because we’ve been a later drafting playoff team in four of his first five years in the league. It’s just more difficult to add premium players to an already successful team nowadays. It’s a good idea not to because comparing players across eras is inherently flawed.
