“First I’m gonna sign a pro contract and then I’m gonna grow hair on my nuts!”
-
Had the same thought as he vainly tried to skate down Cozens and Dylan just kept widening the gap.

What every player should aspire to. He never cheated the game and was the picture of class. A first ballot HOF election certainly awaits and I wish him well in his retirement.

Being a Swedish citizen, young Rasmus is well acquainted with high income taxes.

Is there a defensive stat equivalent? I’d be interested to know how many goals against per 60 minutes VO is on the ice for.
-
All fair questions indeed. Regarding #2, that’s a two way street as Levi will also be developing intelligence on the shooters in the league as well. He’s reputed to have a very cerebral approach to the position and I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that he has reams of notes already.

I’m tired of players who “want out” and if his heart isn’t in it to be here, I don’t need to see another example of that manifesting on the ice. If he doesn’t want to be here, then do him a favor and let him go. He doesn’t command much in the way of trade value, anyway. There is more value in jettisoning a disgruntled player, imo. Are we really going to lament the loss of a couple middling future draft picks?

While Skinner may have deficiencies on defense, he is better than VO in that regard while being far superior along the boards in the offensive zone and is a much better playmaker as a result. VO is a one trick pony.

They’re all good prospects. Beyond that? No. They’re just athletes subject to potentially being negatively impacted as hockey players due to political issues far beyond their control. They wouldn’t be the first athletes to pay the price and they won’t be the last should that come to pass.
-
This idea of “just shut up and dribble” is remarkably naive given the platform and audience prominent athletes have. Same goes for any famous people in other popular walks of life. If Hasek weren’t well known internationally, nobody would begrudge his right to expound on political matters.
-
While I don’t agree with is stance on barring individual Russian athletes from competitions, I can’t blame Hasek at all for feeling the way he does about Russia. After all, his generation grew up under the yoke of Soviet oppression when Russia led other Warsaw Pact nations in the invasion of Hasek’s homeland in ‘68. The Czechs I’ve known have never forgotten or forgiven that Bloody Sunday.

Benson is a playmaker, pure and simple. Great vision and a dog on the puck. Methinks we are gonna love him. -

From top to bottom, this seems like the deepest group of prospects I’ve seen at a development camp in a while. -
Really looking forward to seeing JJP coming off that strong showing at the IIHF world tourney. Hoping it’s like Cozens’s was last year.

Sabres sign Defenseman Connor Clifton to 3 year 3.33 AAV Deal
K-9 replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Imo, the PK cost us at least a dozen games last season. Analytically, Clifton is one of the best penalty killers in the league. I love this signing for that reason alone.- 151 replies

Per KA in this morning’s Harrington piece in the BN:
-
I need to know if the Sabres insisted on Quinn having achilles fusion surgery or if they allowed him to have his preferred artificial achilles replacement procedure performed instead.
-
He’s still considered a good skater with speed, so it doesn’t appear as though the injury caused any issues. But as someone pointed out, not all achilles injuries are the same.

My first blush sees them going 79-1-2, but I’m sure that’ll change once I break it down scientifically.
