  1. That was entirely on Kesselring not being able to catch a pass from Byram.
  2. Hope is always present, but this team has found ways to feel sorry for itself for years and Adams loves himself built-in excuses. Hope I’m wrong, but I expect this team to fold like cheap tents in the face of adversity as they have for years now.
  3. I was mocking Pegula and being sarcastic, but you raise an important point here. Unless it’s actually one of those younger guys, I don’t think they have that maniacal vocal leader. Tage and Tuch are too used to being passengers on this team and have been since arriving. This team has needed a boombox throwing, get in your face after a loss or lazy practice leader since Drury.
  4. The answer is in the room, gentlemen. In. The. Room.
  5. He’s very consistent. Once in a blue moon he has a stinker like all goalies have, but he’s a steady force between the pipes. The four gosls against last night look bad at first glance, but he had zero chance on two of them and he made a bunch of key saves to keep them at four.
  6. Imo, let Levi continue to cook in the A unless injury disasters necessitate a call-up.
  7. Well, two of them are currently up with the Sabres. That said, Helenius and Metsa look very good. I’m surprised at what they’re getting from Kuntar so far and Novikov is a steady force on the back end. Levi has been stellar, his last couple games notwithstanding. The Amerks as a whole are a grittier bunch.
  8. Sabres always seem to be the perfect cure for whatever is ailing a crap team.
  9. Ruff must have read my post from yesterday urging him to pair Thompson with Rosen and Östlund. Nice.
  10. I agree about breaking up the Tuch, McCloud, Doan line. It borders on stupid. I’d rather see Östlund centering Tage and Rosen. They should have been seeing the ice in the OT last night. If they look overwhelmed (and I doubt they will) then mix up the lines again.
  11. He looked very good against the Monsters in Cleveland last week; better than anything I’ve seen from Georgiev. If they’re not gonna bring up Ratzlaff they should waive Georgiev and let Leinonen remain as backup to Levi. Then again, he isn’t gonna get enough starts with the Amerks to best serve his development, either.
  12. Ruff should have had Rosen, Östlund, and Dahlin out there in the OT.
  13. Power doesn’t seem to know the meaning of the phrase.
  14. Best team we’ve faced all year.
  15. We must have been watching different Ostlunds than our friend in Georgia. Östlund didn’t look out of place in the least in his short stint.
  16. Waive Geertsen. But I know that will probably never happen because he’s just too valuable.
  17. It’s maddening to see top line forwards excelling in the A only to be saddled with non-playmakers on a 4th line when called up. You just aren’t gonna get a true picture of the potential.
  18. Any idea what Bichette might be thinking? I think teams might be lining up to make offers.
  19. I hope they don’t adapt at all. It’s already a farce with the over-sized equipment they get away with.
  20. Potential injuries to Benson have far less to do with his age and size than it does with his style of play. Players who always press the action like he does are putting themselves in more situations to get hurt, regardless of size. He gets hurt less than an older big guy like Greenway does, that’s for sure.
