I wish Vanek all the best and I do think he's a great offensive player. But his best year ever was when he played on a 3rd line that seldom faced other teams' best checking or offensive lines. I agree with those that think Vanek is too moody to be a captain. There's a difference between being pissed at the way the team is performing and being visibly frustrated with how things are going for you on the ice. Ott for the C until Girgs is ready. And there is no doubt in my mind that Girgs will be ready sooner than later. You just can't teach the will to block shots when you are 11 goals down in a game. Hodgson may not like being an "A" so he will just have to duck when Girgs chucks the boombox across the room after a poor effort by the boys. GO SABRES!!!

Reading some of the fan chatter from Cleveland, they aren't too upset to see "Mr. 3.5" as they call him, get traded. More interesting were the links to quotes from scouts saying the Colts panicked and overpaid and that they just should have signed McGahee instead. Personally, I agree here. Richardson is not that rare kind of RB that changes a game at any time. Just not a homerun hitter. Bottom line: we won't know anything about who got the better end of it until the picks are in and we see how they perform. GO BILLS!!!
