Per The Athletic Sabres Season Tickets Sales are estimated at less than 6,500

Brakes were pumped several posts ago. It’s more of a concern about his willingness to keep losing money on multiple ventures. That’s all. No big deal. If he’s ok with it, I’m certainly ok with it. PSE certainly implemented some austerity measures last year and, while they’ve since re-tooled some ops, I think that speaks a little towards their unwillingness to just simply sit back and just continue to throw good money after bad. If I’m less informed, please feel free to expand on the details then. I only took a cursory dive into the issue. I’d love to learn more about these blank check companies, so feel free to edify. I’m always willing to learn. -

Never meant to imply Pegula would go broke 😂, just that there’s a limit, even for billionaires. And the Sabres are a losing venture, especially since the pandemic. -

Normally, I’d agree that eight and a half months seems like sufficient time. But it’s already been something like 17 months since the acquisition company was formed. Is there a dearth of attractive North American energy companies out there? I honestly don’t know. I don’t think you’re missing anything. And it’s not really a big concern for me, it just seems a little ominous on the heels of the negative Sabres news, that’s all. -
What do you expect from Alex Jonsson-Fjallby?

Clueless skating up and down the wing with elite, world class speed. Key word: clueless. -

I’m referring specifically to his East Resources Acquisition Company, formed only last year and publicly traded. They have to make an acquisition by next July 1st, or it must dissolve and liquidate. -

And yet, in the midst of all that positive economic news, his company has yet to make the legally required acquisition(s). He has until July 1 to get that done. I appreciate that he has very deep personal pockets, but that doesn’t mean much to me. He’s not in these ventures to continually lose money, after all. I’m sure you’re right and it’s not a big concern, but it’s a cloudy horizon imo. -
Zdeno Chara: what could have been? Is it too late for Tyler Myers?

I hate to say it, but we may be on course to lose this team. If Pegula’s recent bet on the North American energy sector doesn’t pan out by next summer, his East Resources Acquisition Company must dissolve and liquidate. Now I won’t pretend to know the potential impact that might have on Pegula’s finances, but it seems ominous to me. -

McDermott was pissed off at the penalty call on a punt return and was chewing out someone else. Beasley was just in the vicinity, that’s all. Wasn’t directed at him in the least.

Is it me or is Butcher not very good at the hockey? -
Back in the day we’d go to Arrowhead with better teams than this current one and get our ***** handed to us by lesser Chiefs teams. And always on a national telecast to boot. Might be one of the hardest venues to play in and I’m not expecting it to be much different next Sunday.

I’d take Lazar back in a hot second. It may not always be good enough, but you get his best effort on every shift which is a lot more than I can say for some of the dead weight we’ve had around here.

Absolutely. I can’t agree more. But it’s his responsibility to manage negative environments and recognize their potential impact on his health. Ultimately, it’s his choice to either stay in that environment or not. Again, the only one capable of changing Lehner’s life is Lehner himself. Good therapy and a positive support mechanism can help him find keys, but nobody can force him to use them.
-
While I agree that some of these Neanderthals need to go away, the only person that can “cause” Lehner to relapse is Lehner himself.
-
I agree, as I’ve been to countless sporting events over the years and have heard all sorts of nasty things said to and about players by angry, frustrated fans both drunk and sober. In my own personal experience, I didn’t hear that kind of stuff hurled towards Lehner, though; just people getting on his case for poor performance. As is their prerogative. My biggest issue with Lehner currently is the complete 180 he did in the media regarding the Sabres organization and then deciding to throw the fans under the bus as well in the process. There are 18,000 fans in that building and he’s gonna trash all of us for the actions of a few that he found objectionable? Sorry, but he can go pound sand with that bs. We can and should sympathize with his struggle against mental illness and we should wish him well in his recovery. But his illness does NOT give him license to act like a grade a douche nozzle and that’s one of the first things he should have learned in the recovery process

Devon Levi has a palpable Ryan Miller vibe. Let’s hope that holds true between the pipes on his way to a stellar 18 year career.
-
No, I don’t know that. My personal experience, from sitting next to the Sabres bench game after game, was fans getting on him for not being able to stop a puck in a shootout or on a breakaway during a game. What else was there to boo him for? Are you suggesting fans mocked his mental illness? When they didn’t even know about it? C’mon, what else were we booing him for? Try answering that before you start hurling insults about people being dense.

As part of “all of us here combined” I feel qualified when I say, that ain’t saying much. We set a very low bar.😄
-
Players calling out fans for disapproving of their play on the ice is 100% right? Can’t agree with that at all. It is 100% my prerogative as a fan to call out poor effort. Maybe he shouldn’t have gone 0.00% in shootouts over the course of a season instead. I wish him well in his continued recovery.

Vezina contender. Nothing less. Then again, I’m easy to please.
