  1. He should get a game just for the level of Smolinski smugness he showed after he scored. That in itself was an affront to the hockey gods. Game wasn’t over, A hole.
  2. Good point. I’ve noticed the same thing about Eichel since he first got here. When I watch the dominant Cs in this league like McD and MacKinnon for example, they seem to do everything fast; just attacking the game in every facet with speed in both their feet and hands. It’s really noticeable to me.
  3. It wasn’t just the feed they took from Toronto. They took the franks and the beans!
  4. Yep. And it helped to have one of his idols (Hedman) tell him he belongs.
  5. Never gets old beating those arrogant fother muckers. Never. Gets. Old.
  6. This atrocious announcing crew has me actually longing for Dunleavy.
  7. One assist and a -1 in the two games vs Sabres this season. So far, so good. But that dude can go off at any time.
  8. Propaganda just is. It’s up to us to provide its context. So there’s “good” propaganda and “bad” propaganda, depending on the the nature of it and our own political assignments to it. I appreciate your attempt to just see it for what it is.
  9. Foresight is a bitch. Especially in hindsight. Murray had the right plan, wrong people.
  10. Great point. I guess Mitts’s house has become the hangout for the guys, including Tuch. At least that’s what I’ve heard. Bonding off the ice is so important.
  11. I have every confidence that Adams, Karmanos, et al, know exactly what kind of players to surround a young core with. They have two already in Tuch and Okposo. The question is, will they be able to lure more of those types to Buffalo?
  12. I’m calling bullsh*t on that one.
  13. You know the old saying, “If you’re not part of the solution you’re part of the problem?” What’s also pathetic is Eichel’s failure to be part of the solution and seeking a trade when he realized that. His failure here largely contributed to the fans having had enough and deciding to stay away in droves. We renewed our STs, so I must be a glutton for punishment. But yeah, keep blaming all of us boorish fans.
  14. I’m sure he is genuinely happy to spend time with the kids. But that is nothing unique. There are a couple dozen high profile athletes in the community that have and continue to give their time and other resources to these causes.
  15. I can personally attest to that. Eichel’s memory was clouded during his childish outburst.
  16. Eichel spent all the time from his end of year presser to the day he was traded targeting the organization, not to mention the hit job on the Weidman podcast. Maybe he just needed some new meat for his “antics.” 😂
  17. “The fans are allowed to behave within reason the way they want.” I’m not convinced you actually believe that otherwise you wouldn’t characterize them as boorish for doing just that last night. Honest or not, Eichel’s response was immature, insulting, and classless. Brisson has more work to do with a client who just can’t help himself and has always been an emotional train wreck when handling adversity. And as I’ve said earlier, the same fans that booed his every possession also gave him a standing ovation during his tribute video. Guess Jack didn’t hear that when he took his little raised stick skate around in his show of thanks to the very fans he saw fit to throw under the bus later on.
  18. Listening to it now, 30 seconds in and Rivet is ripping Eichel a new one. Interesting to hear how he was muzzled while in the employ of the Sabres.
