So, does Toker get the call on Sunday?

I was keying on him after what was perhaps his worst game last night. Fantastic response by the young man tonight. It’s always about how you respond after playing poorly and he responded like a champ. So important for him moving forward.

Good response after last night’s travesty. Well earned point against a very good, superior team.

Mitts and Asplund should NEVER be paired together. They are both turnover machines and can’t defend worth a damn.

Team was simply not ready to play tonight. As such, I’m no longer ready to watch.

Mule looking every bit the rookie that he is tonight. Miller looking like he doesn’t know how to stand up on skates anymore.

Unfortunately, the terms “Miller” and “show well” seem to be mutually exclusive.

That really underscores just how much Levi carried his team vs. the other two goalies.

Don’t underestimate Eichel’s ability to get them there.

If you say so, I certainly won’t argue.

Vegas slides the rest of the year, they select in the top 10 and our pick is deferred until 2023. Which is fine because the Eichel curse continues for them, they finish last in the league next year (a standing Eichel knows how to lead a team to), they win the lottery, we get their pick, and select the most explosive prospect since McDavid in Michkov.

Boy, Eichel sure seems to find himself on teams that can string together some losses. I know, I know; it’s just a coincidence.

Enjoyed Granato’s post practice presser today. I’m on record as saying he may not be the coach that gets us to the cup, but that he is the right coach right now for this team and he gave another great indication of that in answering a question about how the team has has really bonded and come together as a tight group that cares for each other, etc. and how as a coach that’s really out of his control. His answer was interesting in that he agreed a coach can’t do anything to foster that, but a coach can do a helluva lot to ruin it. Just great awareness by Granato who seems to understand the psychology involved pin getting the most out of his players.

Guilty as charged. But my beef with Harrington isn’t Sabres related.

It’s open for interpretation, but it’s like porn; you know it when you see it. The net being dislodged had ZERO impact on the goalie’s ability to make the save or not. The puck would have crossed the line in the center of the crease whether the net was there or not. The goalie should have made the save, but couldn’t, and I imagine the refs got together to discuss just that and the video review confirmed what they discussed.

Agree entirely. Had Vegas won that game, the VGN PR people would have trotted Eichel out front and center to trumpet his triumphant return to Buffalo. But the Sabres spoiled the entire narrative and their whiny crybaby star just couldn’t handle the moment. Something that requires class. Something Eichel seems to lack entirely.

Seems like a pretty simple explanation and it’s exactly what happened on the play, imo. The refs did well to gather, discuss, and enforce the proper ruling.
