I’ve seen teams who reflect how they’re coached, but it amazes me how every player on Carolina plays like BrindAmour played. Pains me to say it because it’s the Canes but I like there style.

If my math is correct, 61 points in 45 games works out to 1.36 points per game, the Amerks played 76 games, so it projects to 103 points for Quinn over the full season.

I’m conflicted. I like Ullmark and don’t wish him misfortune but I hate Boston and wish them nothing but misery.

Try to actually watch as many games on TV then. Your eyes can at least see what’s actually happening on the ice vs. whatever it is DD is describing. If radio is your only option, you’re SOL. DD cannot paint a picture with words for the life of him. He has zero talent for creating theater for the mind. He’s really good at features though.

After listening to these guys yesterday and today and comparing their exit pressers to previous years, I can only say again how glad I am that those miserable pukes are gone. We had no chance with those ex-players; none at all. Must have been difficult for some of the players that remained who had to live with that miserable vibe every day at the rink. I don’t recall any of them expressing gratitude for the city or love for their teammates; not once. Nothing but woe is me misery. What a breath of fresh air these current players are to listen to.

The competition level at the IIHF tourney isn’t as high as you think it is. If Mitts and other players are asked and wanna go, fine. But if they wanna get away from hockey for a while, it’s ok, too.

^This. After he nearly died from his last concussion, I was hoping he’d retire to enjoy his beautiful family and the life hockey gave him. But selfishly, I’m glad he didn’t. He found his game again and we are so better off for it. Hope he plays as long as he likes.

Mule and Krebs will join the boys for the playoffs. I like the Amerks’ chances.
