  1. Physics suggest he was helped punting in a thinner atmosphere. To what degree, I can’t be certain and I’m not inclined to dig up and compare his home stats with his road stats.
  2. I want so much to think UPL can be an NHL quality goalie, but I just can’t make that leap. Hope like hell he proves me wrong.
  3. Did you read the article? Anyway, I don’t claim to know what evidence a lawyer may present in a case I don’t know anything about except for what a plaintiff has alleged. But I doubt it’s impossible in many cases.
  4. It’s not all that cut and dry. Scroll down to the “Best Defenses for Statutory Rape” section. California law allows defendants to provide proof that they had a reasonable and actual expectation that the victim was 18 or older at the time. https://www.shouselaw.com/ca/defense/penal-code/261-5/
  5. May I wait until opening night 2022 before answering the question?
  6. It might get worse as there is a movement afoot to repeal the 17th Amendment and return to giving state legislatures the power to elect senators. Imagine you as a voter having no say in who your US senator is. As Rob Ray would say, “that’s luderous.”
  7. That’s an ever present concern as Trump is really just a symptom. After all, it was the electorate that put him in office in the first. An electorate that represents a minority to boot. Minority rule has been eroding this country for too long.
  8. Agreed. Saving Kim was paramount the moment he found out she was in deep trouble and he had to kill Saul and go full disclosure on everything in order to do so. Insisting his name was Jimmy McGill to the judge really underscored that. I also thought that idea came thru in their final scene together at the prison which was masterfully done imo. Very reminiscent of the prison scene with Tom Hagen and Frankie Pentangeli.
  9. I think it was Jimmy’s because I never got the impression Chuck regretted anything and Jimmy alluded to that when he told Chuck that he (Chuck) never changed the path he was on after telling Jimmy that he (Jimmy) still could.
  10. Perfecto! Gilligan, Gould and company nailed it on multiple levels. Gonna miss BCS, but I can’t wait to see what this creative team does next.
  11. Ah yes, Florida and Texas; bastions of evolved tolerance. 😂
  12. Are you also sure the opportunity wasn’t offered to him and he declined?
  13. Ask the demented Republican cretins falling all over themselves trying to excuse his behavior away. Fascists all.
  14. The spin of the wheel. Perreault winding up in his own end. 12-6 over the Soviet Wings. Trading for Hasek. Trading away Eichel.
  15. Loved how Saul became the one who knocks when he showed up at Marion’s back door. The loaf of “white” bread on the counter leaving no doubt he has broken bad. Glad he stopped himself from strangling Marion with the phone cord, so maybe there’s a glimmer of hope for him. I wonder if he will take Kim’s advice and turn himself in.
  16. If he’s afraid of Levi, then he isn’t the right stuff. Good riddance if that’s the case.
  17. I wish I had any faith that UPL is the long awaited answer between the pipes but I just don’t. I think he’s a career backup AT BEST and that’s only if he’s not injured and available for backup duty. I’d love for him to make a liar out me though.
  18. RIP, Vin. I hope you’re pulling up a chair in that big ball park in the sky.
  19. Robinson practically invited Goodell to appeal and increase the suspension.
  20. Judge Robinson’s own language in her ruling defies the logic of her decision to suspend Watson for only six games. The way I read it, she gave Goodell a hammer if he chooses to use it.
  21. Well, the NFLPA certainly has a high court that couldn’t care less about collectively bargained rights, unlike previous courts, so perhaps they will challenge Goodell’s forthcoming decision to disregard the arbiter’s ruling of six games. But given the sheer public outrage at the light penalty and the arbiter’s own language in her ruling, I look for Goodell to at least double the suspension. We will know within three days.
  22. Don’t see how that’s on the NFL since they recommended a one year suspension to the arbiter. I’d be surprised if the league doesn’t appeal the ruling and besides, Goodall has final say anyway.
