This is the 4th or 5th time you’ve referred to yourself as “kid.” Are you having a post-covid mid-life crisis? It’ll be okay. We’ll get through this together. I’ve been saying all along that I think Florida is going to win it all. I think they will play Colorado in the finals. But playoff hockey being what it is, I could see Tampa playing the Blues in the finals. As to who I want to win?… nobody. I wish they could all lose.

I’m actually going to watch this game on delay at my friends house at 4. I’ll get back to you. Short answer is yes, but there are a lot of bad/lazy TV audio engineers.

About 6 or so years ago, we were camping at Beaver Meadow campground over Columbus Day weekend. I was standing in Tops in Arcade with a Sabres hat in my hand (there was a little section of Bills and Sabres gear). I said, “no way” and put it back on the rack. I really needed a hat, too. I made a decision on that day to not spend another cent on them until they deserved it. It was a really easy decision to make, too. They chose the path of a multi year plan to lose on purpose, not me. If they we’re just bad, it would be one thing, but they chose to be bad. I’m not going to support that and I don’t feel one bit guilty about it. They chose to suck, they sucked, I’m out. I will be spending money on them next year.

If the team was good, they would have had bigger crowds. It’s not pathetic. It’s what the team deserved this year. And if it wasn’t for the last two months, they deserved to be 32nd. Attendance will be better next year.

I thought him being fired was stupid, as well. Water under the bridge. Granato is the better coach for what we need now. Will he be going forward? I guess we’ll all find out together.

It was a joke. If 90% of the time when Power is without Joker, he is with Dahlin, then that means that the other 10% is without either, thus the red globs.

Thank you EA Sports. I’m guessing they want as much data as possible to make their game better/more realistic.

I get that, but does someone go through game tape and plot each shot on a touchscreen monitor for location? …and those two red globs are the 10% without Dahlin.😂

This is a wonderful observation. It’s something I have definitely experienced, just never put into words. As fun as the end has been, I’m ready for this season to be over. Ready for some games that matter. I soooooo want this to be the hockey we get to see in October. Man, is it a joy to watch.

Not trying to be Disrespectful but this is just dumb. Name us a coach who could have gotten the playoffs out of the mess he was handed to start the year. I want playoffs and Championships , as well, but those weren’t goals for this year, nor should they have been. I’m a Granato fan. I think he’s a really good coach. I think playoffs should absolutely be the goal next year. I have my hopes that he can get them there.

This is where I’m supposed to bitch about the stupid NHL and how they make it so hard to watch games and because I don’t pay for MSG, I have to go to my friend’s house to see the game so I will probably miss this one. Right? Stupid NHL. meh, I’ll get over it.

What a crock. There is no difference in positioning or philosophy or coaching. The only difference is that those players are just better at it. Maybe if Donny had a crooked nose or a scar you would be confident in him being able to coach team defense. I do wish we played heavier in all zones, though.

Team defense. You’ve been saying this over and over. I would love to see some examples of what you are talking about, cuz I have no idea what you mean. They look like every other team now. Something I have not been able to say for ten years. Sometimes they get hemmed in, sometimes they don’t, just like every other team at times during games. I have found that it’s most often a function of who is on the ice, not the D system. Again, I would love some examples where you think it is the defensive system and not the personnel. Sell it to me, cuz I’m just not buying it, yet. Sorry.
