If the team was good, they would have had bigger crowds. It’s not pathetic. It’s what the team deserved this year. And if it wasn’t for the last two months, they deserved to be 32nd. Attendance will be better next year.

It was a joke. If 90% of the time when Power is without Joker, he is with Dahlin, then that means that the other 10% is without either, thus the red globs.

This is a wonderful observation. It’s something I have definitely experienced, just never put into words. As fun as the end has been, I’m ready for this season to be over. Ready for some games that matter. I soooooo want this to be the hockey we get to see in October. Man, is it a joy to watch.

Not trying to be Disrespectful but this is just dumb. Name us a coach who could have gotten the playoffs out of the mess he was handed to start the year. I want playoffs and Championships , as well, but those weren’t goals for this year, nor should they have been. I’m a Granato fan. I think he’s a really good coach. I think playoffs should absolutely be the goal next year. I have my hopes that he can get them there.

This is where I’m supposed to bitch about the stupid NHL and how they make it so hard to watch games and because I don’t pay for MSG, I have to go to my friend’s house to see the game so I will probably miss this one. Right? Stupid NHL. meh, I’ll get over it.

What a crock. There is no difference in positioning or philosophy or coaching. The only difference is that those players are just better at it. Maybe if Donny had a crooked nose or a scar you would be confident in him being able to coach team defense. I do wish we played heavier in all zones, though.

Team defense. You’ve been saying this over and over. I would love to see some examples of what you are talking about, cuz I have no idea what you mean. They look like every other team now. Something I have not been able to say for ten years. Sometimes they get hemmed in, sometimes they don’t, just like every other team at times during games. I have found that it’s most often a function of who is on the ice, not the D system. Again, I would love some examples where you think it is the defensive system and not the personnel. Sell it to me, cuz I’m just not buying it, yet. Sorry.

I was just wondering this myself. I have always said that hate for hate’s sake is fine in sports, cuz it doesn’t mean anything. It just bugs me in this case. I think it’s because i feel it is misplaced. As you know, I never thought the Tank was the answer. So hating the guy who (I felt) was put in a no win situation just feels ugly to me. I’ll stop. Hate away. It’s what makes sports great, after all.

We have one more win than them. Of course, the 3 OT/SO losses make it look much better for us,… I guess. As long as we can make fun of Jack…

Before seeing the graphic I posted, would you have guessed that their records were almost identical? I wouldn’t have. Certainly not by reading this thread. I have no idea what this means. I don’t think any of our wins matter. Don’t get me wrong, i’m enjoying them, but they don’t mean anything. Our losses certainly don’t matter, either. I will say that I really like the hockey the Sabres are playing to finish up this season. I pray to god that it will be the same in October when games actually mean something again. I’m cautiously optimistic. Cute.
