I’m posting about the prospect pool in a thread about the prospect pool. Not sure where else I should post it. I just find it funny that everyone is so convinced that it is somehow different this time. Everyone likes each other and gets along and “wants to be here” and so therefore they’ve turned some mythical corner because they played some decent hockey at the end of another lost season. I hope y’all are right. But we have been here before. And right now, in the middle of summer, I see nothing to tell me we are going to be good in the regular season. Until our glorious prospect pool proves itself in the regular season, it means nothing.

Then why should I (anybody) care? We’ve been ranked high before and still haven’t seen the playoffs In forever.

Like PA said, we’ve been at or near the top of the prospect pool rankings off an on for a decade. It means nothing until it means something. I’m going to wait until the first 2 months of a season look good before I’m convinced.

Awesome! Did we win something else in the offseason? PA is right. This has been a reoccurring theme for some time now. I yawn every time. Someday it will translate to the regular season, I mean, its just gotta?… right!?

Just because he remembers it differently, doesn’t mean he is lying. Do people really believe that there was an agreement literally sitting on his desk? And he just ignored it? Obviously, it lives on in his mind as well. Otherwise, why write about it in your own memoire? I might be remembering this incorrectly, but I believe the HR stuff was implemented after he sold it.
