I love posts like this. The Statterati© will say anything to justify their faith in the numbers. It's what drives me crazy about them. Stats tell us exactly how often they are wrong, and when someone like Josh falls on the other side of their assuredness percentage, they have to use words like outlier and unicorn. It is kinda comforting, though, to know that we still can't be 100% positive when actual humans are involved. I also never thought Josh was as inaccurate as many here were grousing about his first couple of years. I just think his receivers are making more plays now (still waiting to see one of them win a 50/50 ball against a DB.) But I will admit that the pass to Gabe Davis down the middle would have been a touchdown if it was a better thrown ball.

But how do we compare to other boards? Thats the real question. From what I’ve seen, sports message boards in general are just awful. -
Multiple Goat Heads For Jerseys in 2022-23 Season?

Everyone I knew liked it. How can anyone look at the that for twenty years and not see the bison?! I just don’t get it. Yeah, I’ve never really been able to see that, either. I think the entire Jersey as a Buffalo head is kinda cool, though. -
Figured I would put this here. If these are the summers we can expect from now on, i feel like i have to do my part and just can’t justify a lawn anymore. Does anyone have experience with a clover lawn? Seriously thinking of changing my yard over.

That’s a bummer. Too many big rains that wash fertilizer into them, as well. The medicine I’m on makes me feel like 🤢 all the time. And tired. I haven’t worked since February. I go back next Wednesday. I really don’t want to,… ever. Gonna have to pack a lot of summer in this weekend. And like I’ve stated upthread, this summer can suck it. Too GD hot!

Annual expectations thread 2022/23: #26 Rasmus Dahlin

I wonder if its an actual con or just a perceived con in the D zone. In other words how often is there an actual break down in the play because of off handedness, and how much is it different from on handedness. I bet its not as different as one might think, if at all. Good hockey talk, btw. I miss it. -

Common practice. That's it. Defenders have been told to play that side at every level of hockey, so by the time they get to upper levels, they are better at it. Start out a talented kid on the off side and by the time he gets to upper levels he'll be better at that. Since the puck usually goes back behind the net in those battles anyway, not sure it matters. -

Yeah. The only reason there is hesitancy is because it is common practice, not because there is any disadvantages. -

They paid half of that money just for his release alone. Just nasty. It's called progression. I'm sure you will grouse about that as well, when it happens. I have been a little underwhelmed by Cozens (That's sounds worse than I mean, because he's right where I expect him to be given that he's really young). Not sure that I've seen glimpses of excellency. More like Glimpses of a future decent NHLer. -
I would have rather spent $10 on the one I need rather than $5 on all these. https://a.co/d/bvAwPRR

The crossover is before the amp. It’s more efficient because each driver (woofer, tweeter) has it’s own power amp and you are only amplifying the frequencies that you want to hear.
-
Unfortunately, it’s not quite that simple. Not if you want them to sound good, anyway.

A covid postponed Meshuggah at Hammerstein Ballroom on the 18th. Can’t wait. If my health screws this up for me I’m going to be pissed.
-
Yep. It's sucks. Everything is disposable now. It's one of the reasons I hate active speakers. I can always throw a new or different amp on a set of passive speakers. And we're at the age now where the caps in all of these first generation active monitors are going to start drying up. Instead of just buying a $.89 part and fixing them, I have to chuck it right in the garbage patch and spend a ***** ton on some sterile chip amplified newer speaker.

I mean stuff like capacitors, resistors, and diodes, not an HDMI to RCA convertor. I miss RadioShack.

Had a quick question.

Here’s another tech question. I know that some of you live outside of areas where either cable or fiber are options. Does anyone have any experience with tv antennas to get over the air, digital broadcasts? I would love a recommendation on what to buy or any advice on what to look out for. Thanks in advance.

Especially when they use Venezuela as an example of the evils of socialism. It’s beyond stupid.

I just don’t get it. You’d think it was a magic eye poster, ffs. And it’s been over two decades. -

Has anyone even seen him play since his last game as a Sabre? I haven’t. I have no idea whatsoever what to expect from him. I hope he’s good and makes the team better. -
My buddy is a collector. The art of some the vinyl is part of it. Some are really cool. I think this is pretty cool. I wonder if they can get into trouble for distributing weed to states where it is still illegal.
