Not sure where this is coming from. Where did he admit that? We know that he does make adjustments in-game and they work. We’ve talked about it in-game. When he put Okoposo on the top line it completely changed the Chi game. Maybe not making an in-game adjustment is sometimes his in-game adjustment.

I've watched that play a dozen times now. At speed, there is no way that Eichel was Power's guy. Unless, like you say, Stone should have been picked up by Tage, but he didn't. Power had to take him. And again, Hiney and TT never turned their heads to see if anyone was behind them. It was really bad.

I disagree with this take. The play was way too fast for Power to get back. Pretty sure that Eichel should have either been Tage's os Hineystrokey's man. Power had to take Stone. Neither of those two ever turned their heads to see who was behind them and bang bang it was on Jack's stick. Pretty bad.

IMO, the whole “they simply weren’t scoring” was because the goalie never seemed out of position for the shot. With all this puck control and “domination,” did they honestly ever look dangerous to you? If so, then we are absolutely watching different games. I really need to see some good hockey soon. I’m tired of excuses. Maybe someone could tell the team they are already knocked out of the playoffs.😂

I didn’t see that when everyone here was saying those things, and I didn’t see it when the intermission guys were saying that. And I still don’t see the domination that everyone is talking about. I mean, unless their game-plan is to just get as many perimeter shots as possible and hope for a flukey goal? Same with the Chi game.

I somewhat agree with this post. We are pretty much getting the season that we were expecting, so far. I’m not sure if I ever actually believed that we were going to make the playoffs, but if i did (as I’m sure others did as well) it would have been because of an everything went right scenario (Comrie was a true #1, all the kids progressed to their ceilings early, maybe a unicorn or two). Alas, not to be, and we are most likely looking at another record setting tally on the playoff drought big board. I thought I was ready for it. I really did. But to see it actually happen is way more brutal than I expected. When you lose assets and get nothing in return, it puts you in a hole that can take a couple of seasons to climb out of. It happened with Hasek, and it absolutely happened when those two left. It is what led to the Sabres deciding that they wanted to make the whole even deeper, and here we are 12 years later. It’s definitely not the entire reason, but it is a pretty substantial part of a rich tapestry of suck.

They were terrible against the Habs, and for 5/6ths of the Chicago game too.

Sabres are better on the road. Maybe next year they should hold off on that west coast “bonding” trip until later in the season and actually learn how to be a team at home.
