Shopp loves the drama around sports way more than the actual sports themselves. At the height of the Tank, I remember him saying how awful it was going to be when they would have to be discussing who should start at second line right wing again. There is no drama with the Sabres right now. It's just a workman like rebuild so it holds no interest to him.

They do have similar skating styles, but Cozens is a lot smoother and more efficient. It’s probably what makes him faster. What he eventually does with the puck is obviously much different as well. He creates a lot more.

I understand your logic. I also understand the logic of the rule. I also don’t care. I think the rule is fine and have no problem with there being different sets of rules for in the field of play and out of it.

I still disagree. Let’s look at it a different way. Say he caught that in the middle of the field the same way but was touched on the way down. The ball then comes loose when he hits the ground. Is it a fumble or an incomplete pass? To me, it’s still incomplete. I think the rule is fine.

It applies to all the out of bounds. The same thing happens at the end of the endzones, as well.
