  1. They accused him of diving last game. I saw the replay. It was hard to tell either way. I agree with the call. I think if it had been called a goal on the ice, it probably would have stood on review. I think the standard is that there must be conclusive evidence that it was not what was called on the ice...But, I am looking at a rulebook and can't find any language that sets out any kind of standard. Dave, do you know? And which rule?
  2. Anyone get a good look at Roy's shot? I thought that was in.
  3. Well, it's moot now since Miller got the start, but I couldn't disagree with you more. Miller has proven that he is the starter. Biron is the backup. Biron should only get starts when Miller needs rest. No goalie controversies in March.
  4. I have CI and I got MSG. I am wondering if the cable CI feed was different from DirecTV. If so, that would be the first time all year.
  5. Where was it announced? Just because of the scheduling this month, I would start Biron once in every back to back. Although I am a bit concerned that he hasn't won since his streak ended. Speaking of scheduling...who was the genius that made the schedule. It would seem like a much better idea to schedule tonight's game in Buffalo, and Tuesday's in Boston. Boston didn't play last night, so they could have used yesterday as a travel day. Both teams don't play again until Tuesday, and the Celtics are on the road Tuesday. But what do I know.
  6. It's nice to actually get the shootout tonight. The broadcast usually cuts off right away!
  7. Beautiful goal by Roy, great set up by Max. Mats Sundin is looking like a true leader out there...taking 2 dumb penalties on face offs to kill PP's.
  8. Glad they bounced back and scored again. That was frustrating to completely dominate the Leafs like that and have Toronto tie it up. Miller definately should have stopped that one. He got a piece of it.
  9. Do you guys all have DirecTV? I have Comcast and Center Ice and I have the game...I would keep checking back. There were a few games earlier this year where the broadcast didn't kick in until like 10 or 15 minutes into the game. Update for those of you having technical difficulties: 1-0 Sabres, Roy on the PP. Toronto looks awful.
  10. You have the TSN broadcast on Center Ice? Weird I have MSG.
  11. Why is it blacked out?!? I have it on Comcast.
  12. PA, don't get me wrong...I am not happy that they lost last night, nor with how the game sounded. While neither team played together over the break, it's not ridiculious to say that the time off may have had more of an effect on the Sabres than the Thrashers. I think the team's play against the trap is definately a concern. Looking back we have had a hard time getting things going against teams that have played the trap against us. I think I'm being entirely realistic. Don't get me wrong, I am not happy about last night's game, but last night was just one game. I seem to remember similar conversations when the team was slumping for a few games back in January. They were able to bounce back then. Now, if they have a few games in a row where they continue to struggle, I will start to worry, but I think it's unfair to base the team's performance for the rest of the year on one game. As for Miller...here are his stats for the past 5 games: http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/players/2637 Not the best, but I am going to wait a few more games before I start to be concerned about it.
  13. Yeah, you're so right...We had one bad game after a 2 and a half week layover. We're doomed!
  14. I hope it doesn't take them too long to get their momentum back. I am sure tonight's performance had something to do with the fact that they haven't played together in a couple weeks. Plus, I am pretty sure Rick and Jim said Atlanta was trapping towards the end, and we all know how well this team deals with the trap.
  15. 3-1 Atlanta, has been for a while. Sounds like the break hurt more then it helped. Sounds like they came out flat.
  16. 2 goals in 10 minutes! We can do it!
  17. Looks like the Sabres had control of the game until that PP. In fact, to someone watching stats pop up, it looks very similar to the last game.
  18. As I said, I will take the blame.
  19. Anyone know why the contract is only for 75 games?
  20. That's all of us tonight...I am watching on the little stat sheet thing for now! Speaking of which, looks like Briere is getting a lot of ice time for his first game back!
  21. I merely stated what I would like to see...not pointing out that said thing exists...Notice since the puck dropped there is no mention of the word in question!
  22. <_< Now that is breaking the rules!!!
  23. I said I would like to see one. Not pointing out that he is close to one. ;) If he doesn't get one, you can blame me! Just to put things in perspective, sure you have to listen on the radio, but look at what I have for the 1st period: http://www.nhl.com/scores/htmlreports/20052006/PL020871.HTM
