  1. He'd be subject to waivers. He'd be gone.
  2. It's like a hurricane warning is posted for a category 5 and the President is no where to be found. Glad I didn't make that last payment.
  3. Nugent Hopkins one of the notables sent down. Sequin not.
  4. It depends if they were on the AHL clear day roster last year. These guys (Tarnasky and Porter) weren't and are subject to waivers to go down.
  5. Out of Washington: Sept. 13, 2012 Dear [season Ticket Holder]: As you know, the National Hockey League and the players’ association are in the process of negotiating a new Collective Bargaining Agreement. The current CBA expires Sept. 15 and while we hope to successfully reach an agreement by that date, there remains the possibility that negotiations for a successor agreement will not be concluded and a work stoppage may ensue. If that happens, training camps may not open on time and games may be cancelled. If that occurs we have adopted a set of policies and procedures regarding your season ticket holder account. Obviously, we will not charge your account for any NHL game, preseason or regular season, that is not played. If an agreement is not reached by Sept. 15 we will suspend our monthly payment plan and your account will not be charged until further notice. In appreciation of your continued support and loyalty we would like to provide you with a 1 percent APR interest on the funds you have on account related to games that are not played. In the days ahead you will receive additional information that goes into greater detail regarding the interest and refund policy. I want to assure you that the NHL’s priority is to reach an agreement with the players. We all want to talk about exciting games, upcoming opponents and great plays, not the nuances of labor negotiation. We get it -- and I empathize with you. All of us at the Capitals appreciate your support and the passion you bring to Verizon Center. In a few short years you have turned our arena into one of the best and loudest buildings in the NHL. We all appreciate your loyalty and I hope to see you all very soon at Kettler Capitals Iceplex and Verizon Center. With my appreciation and gratitude, Ted Leonsis Founder, Chairman, Majority Owner and CEO Monumental Sports and Entertainment
  6. 3 yr extension for Lucic. $6 million per season. That's nuts. Oh wait, with a 17.5% rollback that only $4,950,000
  7. Hodgson going to play with the Amerks if lockout happens.
  8. I said there was no chance. Why take a cruel bet? Guess it wasn't the money. Common sense is like deodorant. The people that need it most never use it.
  9. Canucks sign Alex Burrows to a 4 year $18 million extension.
  10. He has until 8:59 pm Arizona time tomorrow to sign somewhere.
  11. Porter and Tarnasky put on waivers.
  12. Ennis is talking to his agent this afternoon, we'll see.
  13. I don't think that's a vacuum cleaner handle. :w00t:
  14. Carlson, Lehtonen, Colaiacovo, Abdelkader and Pouliot all signed in the past two days. Where's Ennis?
  15. I think this from Vanek shows what's up with TPegs: It’s just a bit strange when Terry Pegula will not be allowed to communicate with us. Last Monday we had our annual charity golf tournament and everything was as always, no talk of bad blood. Terry is the best owner you could hope for and maybe he can move the other owners a bit. He sure doesn’t want to miss too many games. Hier hofft haben wir eine Saison in diesem Jahr, damit Sie Ihre 40 Tore bekommen können!
  16. Bettman's in charge. Before the last lockout he got the bylaws changed so that a higher percentage of team owners were required to override any proposed agreement with the NHLPA. Bettman's been around a long time. He keeps trying to get the owners to spend less and less. He knows the owners will shoot themselves in the foot every time and spend spend spend. The owners want the players to give up more of the money to help out the financially weak teams. The players want the richer owners to help these struggling teams. I'm sure there's plenty of owners that want to play hockey, not just TPegs.
  17. Our goal is to ensure that Season Ticket holders consistently receive the lowest price throughout the season. With dramatically reduced prices in the lower bowl, and no price increases for the upper, the 2004-2005 season offers seating options to fit any budget. With new variable pricing for individual game tickets this season, Sabres' Season Ticket holders can save up to 70% off of the Box Office price on select games. Becoming a Sabres' Season Ticket holder has never been easier. Each seat will be held with just a $50 deposit (lowest in the NHL) and Season Ticket holders will not be asked for additional payments until after a new collective bargaining agreement with the players has been reached. Fans can also choose a plan of three installments over the summer, or pay in full. Either plan is refundable with 2% interest in the event of a work stoppage. If you want all of the benefits of a Season Ticket holder but don’t have the time to commit to the full schedule, become part of the Sabres’ Share-A-Season program and enjoy all of the perks of becoming a Season Ticket holder with only half the cost. In Share-A-Season, you choose your seat location, group of games and number of tickets. If another fan enters the program desiring the same location and number of seats, the Sabres will match you up and the two of you split the season 50/50. Circa 2004
  18. Phoenix and Washington offering interest or credit interest on season ticket holder money and will suspend taking payments. Phoenix offering full refunds too.
  19. Sounds like more than few owners aren't happy about lockout.
  20. I blame solar flares.
  21. Can't explain them, just know they are there. This is funny:
  22. With the green grass wallpaper?
  23. You need to tell the whole story here so people understand it. Yes, the players want to de-link the two. Yes, they want guaranteed raises. But they are all for capping those raises. Year one would be capped at 2%, anything over that the owners keep (probably a little over $200 million), 4% yr 2, 6% yr 3. There's some safety's in their if it goes under 50 or over 57.
  24. Threesome! Pics or it didn't happen
