  1. The only thing Bettman said is that they're thinking of something but won't say anything until after the CBA is ratified.
  2. Bettman says the schedule will be released simultaneously with the CBA being ratified.
  3. Ain't crap when you're use to millions. A big win for the players though.
  4. http://forums.sabrespace.com/topic/21292-around-the-nhl-2013/page__st__640#entry428783
  5. Some of this may have been mentioned before but here goes: HGH doping tests will start for the 2013-14 season. They can be done at traiining camp and anytime during the season. All players on veteran contracts get their own room on the road. Days off: must get 4 per month and day before and day after Christmas Day off. A neutral arbitrator will handle appeals of any suspension if 6 or more games. (use to be Bettman) Pension fund: If player has 10 or more years in the league they'll get $200,000/year starting at age 62. Pro-rata basis for players with less than 10 years. Revenue sharing increases from 4.5% of revenue to 6.1%. The teams with the most revenue will contribute 50% to the pool. Large market teams like Islanders will now get revenue sharing. A Committee has been set up to monitor the money, 4 people from NHL and 3 from NHLPA. And a weird one: The NHL will pay the fee players pay the State when they play in Nashville ($2,500 per game)
  6. bump... Canada Vs. USA tonight at 7 on NHL Network.
  7. So the Sabres have a week?
  8. Blackhawks will open the season on Jan 19th in LA. Maple Leafs in Montreal Ottawa at Winnipeg Washington at Panthers My guess is Buffalo plays home-at home with Bruins and Pittsburgh and Philly do the same. Good rivalries and both teams will have the same level of "tiredness".
  9. Lindy presser today: Foligno-Ennis-Stafford top line Vanek likes playing with Cody (teehee) Intrigued about Hecht Ryan gets 36 games.
  10. it's not much of a difference really. They would have played 38 games from Jan 19th to the end of the season. They've eliminated the All Star break so there's another 3-4 games. The season will be a week to 10 days longer so there is 4-5 games. I think it'll be much the same as the regular schedule but you'll have an extra back-to-back. I think they're looking at July 5th for free agency. Also Draft Day will be one day, on June 30.
  11. I think Hecht has a clause that makes his Euro deal void if he gets offered a NHL gig.
  12. Lindy says Brennan stays in Buffalo.
  13. Burke stays on a Senior Advisor with leafs.
  14. Maybe because he didn't fight Kevin Lowe? lol Leafs holding presser at 1:45 http://player.rogersradio.ca/cjcl/on_air#
  15. Same thing. 6 and they're stuck in the NHL or 5 and they can go back to Juniors.
  16. Maybe he couldn't be fired during a lockout?
  17. Must be something recent. WTF fires their GM now? Could have fired him 8 months ago.
  18. I guess the Luongo trade fell through. lol It's all Timmays fault.
  19. Brian Burke - FIRED!!!!!!
  20. Too funny
  21. 6 bucks. free shipping http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-BUFFALO-SABRES-plays-Soviet-RED-ARMY-1989-AUD-Memorial-Auditorium-FREE-SHIP-/160916562805?pt=Vintage_Sports_Memorabilia&hash=item25775fe375
  22. I don't think Lucic fights him. But him backing down from Scott will be almost as awesome. He is at the practice out here in Amherst today.
  23. Maybe just a sign "The sheep are back".
  24. NHLPA is reviewing the CBA with all Agents in three separate groups between yesterday and today before they put it to a vote with players.
  25. TSN saying that it is expected the 10 game rule for juniors will go down to six games. It makes sense I guess. 10 games in a 48 game season is almost a quarter of the season.
